I first started to watch your videos when iOS 4 came out. Now by watching you've literally taught my how to downgrade, update, preserve baseband, and all sorts of stuff that is related to jail breaking and unlocking. After much frustration I finally got it working on my gevey sim. Also if you do manage to get it working..go to settings-GENERAL-NETWORK..if your using TMOBILE and Simple Mobile make sure you check off ENABLE 3G and click ON Data Roaming and Cellular Data

Wow man, this worked for me flawlessly, I have the same baseband as you so I just followed every step and everything was going well. Although I did have some trouble trying to connect to my carrier, but then I just switched On/Off the airplane mode untill carrier appears. Anyways, keep up the good work man. Cheers

I found a solution for my problem, it was hosts file, I included apple severs ip addresses. those ip addresses only for downgrade used. Now I am able to unlock and jailbreak run on 5.0.1 with t-mobile and using gevey ultra sim. Thanks for your video.

what iOS and phone do you use? What is your baseband? If u want i can tell u how to upgrade iOS to 5.1.1 preserving baseband, hactivating and that u can unlock with gevey.

I am on version 4.3.5 and using Gevey Ultra and was wondering if I go with 5.0.1 will this upgrade slow down the performance of my iphone 4? @EverythingApplePro I know you said you're uploading a video on specifically unlocking iPhone 3GS on 5.0.1 tomorrow, but all i really need to know will it be done the same way all the other jailbreaks and unlocks have been done (plan on doing this to a iPhone 3GS that has never been jailbroken or unlocked). I haven't downloaded the iPhone 3GS 5.0.1 IPSW yet but all i really want to know is if it will give you the option to install the iPad Baseband then just unlock with Ultrasn0w.

hey dude. well just to let you know i admire all your work and been a silent follower for a bit now. thankyou. so i just upgraded/jailbroke my iphone 4 from 4.3.2 to 5.0.1 while preserving the bb to 4.10.01. via redsn0w 0.9.10b3 installed furiousmod 1.1.0 from the squuiid repo restarted, everything as you said, but as soon as the phone reboots, with the gevey ultra sim (tmobile) it just says no sim installed.
