Remember the Winroses currently active. Summer Crates for Legendary wins, Promotion Orders for tier VIII wins and small crates for tier V wins (every "little" bit helps).
I'm a long-time player (since the beginning). I had over 4000 promotion orders so I was able to get this ship. I played it once. It's ok... nothing to write home about. It was free for me so I appreciate it. But I agree if one isn't unable to get it then meh... not losing out on anything. And def don't squander resources in an attempt to get the required resources to get it! Nothing spectacular about it.
I got WOWS in February. I wanted to spend minimum, so sparingly bought Premium time, bought a couple of the campaigns. And then hit the bureau as much as I could for free days, and commanders. Then bought one ship with a 70-off coupon. I’ve ended up spending £50 and certainly *not able to roll premium indefinitely.* Fair enough. Just confirming your statement. My view: I’ll not be buying any more premium, or other stuff this year - I spend less on full games that I own permanently. Until - I’ve read you can get a huge discount on premium time at Christmas. Hope so. My mind boggles at who’s sat on this amount of spare resource. Seems to be for the 5 year long haul players. Kudos. They’re very ‘crafty’ at making ways for people to spend.
Sitting on 5 mill GXP, 5300 PO’s, and 250 million silver. I can afford it easily however I have a feeling something else might be around the corner that is more appealing. I’m a cruiser main, but I’m not really feeling the Schill as a must have Cruiser at T7

@@freedeoxide Graf Spee is very good which means a glorified Graf Spee is even better and I can tell you from personal experience that the Schill is better.
This take is probably going to ruffle feathers, but... It's okay to miss out on the Schill. It's just one ship, a glorified Graf Spee. She seems decent, but not broken. If you can't afford it, don't worry about it. There will be other ships. I know we like to collect ships -- I do too. But since I've only played for maybe half the game's lifespan, I can't afford it either.
I think your comments at the 12:00 mark are the most pertinent to the Schill / Crafting station addition, and with all due respect I think the video should have led with them. Hats off to you and your goal of grinding for it - that’s a lot of work, and if you can make it happen then 🤘🏻 That said I hope that players don’t fall victim to FOMO and feel that they need to grind non-stop for the next 20 days or pour real money into certain resources. I think FOMO is one of the game’s biggest problems and it’s often overlooked. Because I had the resources I was able to pick up Schill. Do I need it? No. Will it make me a better player? Absolutely not. Is there a chance that something else will drop next month that I could have put those spent resources towards? Sure. But that’s ok. There will always be something else on the horizon. And … how did I acquire a lot of the resources I needed for Schill? FOMO. When I started out I was overwhelmed and felt the need to catch up. I wasn’t in tune with the resources that are RU-vid / Reddit / Discord. I’ve mentioned it in other places, but there a staggering number of avenues that one can take in this game - many of them for free or for little monetary input. It’s ok to miss out on some things or take a pass on others. Good luck, and fair seas.
Been playing since the 2nd Beta weekend so I had a BIT of a stockpile built up... cost was still a bit eye-watering and this is what it ended up being for me: -1440 Premium Days -1400 Promo Orders -44M Silver -650K GXP Left me with a little over 260 days of premium (more than enough), and I figure the Promo Orders/Credits/GXP are fairly easy to replace over time. Ended up being a way to turn resources that I wasn't using/couldn't get back into something I will actually USE. Gonna hold off on making judgements on the ship itself for a few weeks, especially since people are getting IMMEDIATEDALY target fixated on this as soon as they see one (its like a red cape to a bull at times...) 😅
It costs a lot...sure. I got it because I had 3,000 Premium Days to burn (and still have plenty left to last me quite a while, and when I say quite a while, I do mean quite a while) but i digress.... It's a very good ship. Got a Kraken in just my second game. It's quick, it's got better torpedos, the guns are accurate and the armor scheme is very good. It will absolutely wreck cruisers, and there can be plenty of them out there. It will also wreck destroyers. Battleships will need to take the Schill seriously. It's fun, a lot of fun to play. But it's not the be-all of Tier 7 cruisers so I'm not here to hype it as the end-all of cruisers. It's very good for what it's designed to do. Here's the thing, my situation was a unique to one disposable resource so for me, this was not a sacrifice, or a grift, nor was it me being foolish or uninformed. I simply got to get rid of a LOT of Premium Days that I accrued during those pandemic days of '20, '21, and early '22. I like the Schill but again, I had something disposable to use. Would I recommend it for others? If you have what I had or close to it, indulge yourself if you enjoy German cruisers like i do. If ya don't...save your stuff for a different opportunity. I will not advise anyone to spend $600 or whatever for the Schill. That's craziness. The Crafting Station is a great idea...but I hope to see more attainable pathways to ships to include more of the player base as this one favored the 4 & 5 year veterans who spent some money on this game, nothing wrong with that at all, but it will need to be more inclusive moving forward to work. This last part is strictly reserved for the crybabies that I'm seeing, you know who you are... Far too many people who are allegedly adults on several channels are crying like entitled karens over this ship swearing melodramatic revenge on any Schill they see out there, to them I say grow a pair and grow up a little bit. If ya do not like Wargaming's marketing tactics, then show them by denying them all of your time and any and all amounts of your money. Don't reward them if you dislike them or downright hate them. Failing to do what I just suggested makes this a you problem, not a Wargaming problem. It's just a ship and this...this is just a video game. There's more to life, go outside and discover what that means. You're Welcome
Furious. I've played for years and actually used my resources because I buy their new ships and commanders. I have most of the ships in the game and most of the commanders. What this crafting station did is teach me I'd be better off stockpiling and never spending a penny.
Ok this is the most relevant schill post for me- I'm basically in this situation, and I was going to sit down and do the math for the best way to get this last 30%. I'm grinding ALL windroses (stuff in there to use) then just grind prem botes....it sucks giving up prem days I've had them since the beginning, but I'm committed now.....th

German cruiser main here...graff spee was the first ship i bought a year and a half ago... so yea salty that i cant get this if they would let me convert eliteEXP and drop my 19,000 steele i would in a heartbeat been waitin for this to come since i saw it on pc.... hoping they at least put a 1.5 mill gxp in the store or at least in santa crates

Veteran player, playing since launch. Maxed out commanders with maxed out inspirations across the board with nothing to spend my 7200 POs on. Then comes Schill lol
I had bit over 8.21 years of premium days so used most now have a little over a year, also used some promotion orders, silver and Global XP, And that 8.21 premium years came from Santa Crates and other event creates no whaling, I do not get why some complain about not getting premium days WG hands them our like candy in events, like this one. Just save up and play the big events, like Black Friday, Santa Crates, and others. WG stacks them full of resources, from Commander XP, Global XP, Silver, Promotion orders, Promotion Orders, Insignia, universal commendations, and most of all premium days, some ship budles in the store have premium time,
Luck of the draw I guess. Some people just keep getting premium out of those. I've played since release and the most I had was 135 days which somehow lasted just over a year. But Typically though I'm stuck collecting various flags and camo.
Absolutely ridiculous, been playing since beta and only have half enough resources to complete the crafting station. This is for players who have been playing since the start but only play one line or ship
no, not really, 20k battles with most lines and t8s(beta weekend player) if i spent all my resources i could get it, using no premium time(dont have any) but like tommy said, i dont think this is the prize i want, its the bait
Grift is defined in the dictionary as "to obtain money illicitly" or "to acquire property or money illicitly" So how is this a grift by Wargaming using the definition that I just stated? I'm asking because a lot of people are using this word...grift...and it, by its definition isn't lining up to your claim. The cost of the Schill is straight forward, nothing is hidden, you know exactly what it will cost to get it, the ship's information is published for public viewing, and participating in pursuing it is 100% voluntary...so explain to me how this is a grift. This ought to be good...
This is a great video. Love the explanation and strategy, as well as the very honest discussion that this ship is in no way worth the massive investment of resources unless you are already in the 1%.
Me to but in my case I did not need the amount of Premium Days that I had. it was kinda a bizarre number. I'd bet I was Number 1 in my state or at least top 3.
If everyone agrees to let this pass and wargamming sees the failure at the attempted ripoff then maybe they wont pull this stunt again. Supporting it means you wont have the resources to do it again and you will contribute to another round of ripoffs.
Oh come now...let's not be melodramatic about it. If some people have the disposable resources to get it, then it's fine for them, it's their time and their resources, if they're happy then that is what matters.
got the Krisami and the Schill now. Rarest ships. The Schill is fun to play but I had a lot of days and orders so that what I used. But everyone comes after you!
Everyone thinks its only the og or veteran players that can get schill. When in actual fact its the whales that buy a tonne of crates each update and accumulate a sh load of these resources from them.
Just liqidate ALL of your premium ships. Or sell your whole Navy. No sweat. You'll have one mediocre cruiser left to earn it all back🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 my GT is Vatican Navy and I hear God laughing.

Thanks to the crafting station, I went from 9 years of premium to less than 11 months of premium. Now I look like less of a whale to my friends and others in the WOWL community 😁
