This guy is a genius my daughter and I were talking about him the other day and we are both big fans 😊, and as a matter of fact I can remember people who put leaves in their gardens when I was a kid but I didn't know why and now I do.
There is a couple who owns a compost company and into soil microbiology, and they said “I feel like half my job is teaching people to just leave leaves and sticks that fall on the ground where they land because natural mulch can be beautiful”
Anyone watching this please understand that not all leaves are good to use for compost especially certain oak leaves because they contain enough toxins to actually prevent things from growing.
I get them from my mother and use them in my garden. I mix them with coffee and tea grounds along with some home made compost. I never use fertilizer nor do I need to. Actually if I did it would probably kill my plants.
Me watching the video 👩🏾💻 behind the screen of my laptop just knowing he's about to say eat it somehow😂😂😂😂 okay cool I'm back with you again I can do this for my plants!❤
I like the concept of doing the drying for indoor plants but for outdoor I'd rather have my own compost bin because we get so many leaves it's ridiculous. You can also save the pretty leaves, place them dry and flat between sheets of baking paper in or between a heavy pile of books for two or three weeks and make cards and bookmarks with them by using glue on card and laminating it so it lasts. Or putting clear school book covering over it - less so with cards and more so with bookmarks so they last.
Luv ur videos my roommate will kick me out if I did that 2 his blender. Please try to give us warning about what might go wrong. If we use wrong leaves on the plants that can't take.
Careful the types of leaves you use, there are a few trees that if you plant them, nothing'll grow well near them, I can only figure that'll go for this too.
Guess what else loves leaves? Earthworms, which provide one of the best plant nutrients on the planet - so much so Costco even sells the stuff in bags! But you can attract your own using this (or similar) technique and aerate your soil for free too.
My friend if those are grape leaves and they not dry I recommend you make something called warah enab with it is an Arab dish with rice stuffed in grape leaves.
Does this work with dried pine needles? I live in a cold climate so our warm season is too short of any leaf bearing trees to grow but loads of pine trees and I could really use something to do with the millions of pine needles layering my front yard
When your dog poops 💩 don’t throw out the poop!!! put it on the pan and bake it at 450° at 30 minutes until it becomes hard and then pulverize it in a blender, mix the brown powder into water to make chocolate milk for your plants! Great fertilizer!!!
I knew that I remember my doctor telling me that when my kids were babies that is the word you always want to hear from me for check ups and I too have passed that on to my own kids who are now parents too 🥰.
I thought he was going to drink them, you know, because they have so much nutrients! Really though, I live in the Phoenix desert, we don't really have leaves like that so it whatever for me anyways.
