I have not got CD J or XDJ but I found this super helpful, I might get CDJ .have not decided yet . So basically you do the same process at updating the software update.. like VDJ or record box

What is the root folder? When I copy it to the flash drive it does not read on my xdj rr

Hey ! My usb port is broken on 1 of my CDJ, is there any other way to do the update ? Maybe with SD card or something ?

One of my CDJ’s have been disconnecting from Traktor once or twice at the start of my club night, the USB cables are brand new, I’ve just realised the firmware isn’t upto date, could this be the problem yeah?

When turning the XDJ XZ on press and hold both together, USB 1 stop and Reloop/Exit until you see the instructions on screen to insert your USB stick into USB 1. Only then will this update the firmware and will take about 5 mins.

what if the drive is just blinking, does it still find the update on the drive for a few minutes?

It should find the update in a few seconds :) if not, your USB drive may either have an issue, or need reformatting

Is the cdj nexus firmware compatible for the cdj 2000.

Nope, you need the firmware that's specific to the CDJ2000 :)

My pioneer XDJ RR plays tracks automatically, as soon as i load a track onto a deck... is this an update issue as i cant change it, even turning it off in the menu on the controller doesnt work....

You can chance that in the settings, if it still plays when it turns off there you may have an issue - we recommend having a chat to Pioneer DJ support about it, in that case.

Sounds like you need to turn 'Auto Cue' off

You need to hold the auto cue button and this will load the tracks and not play until you do so

Nothing happens after I insert the usb in the players... Am I missing something? Update: okay do not copy paste the whole firmware update folder. Open the folder and copy paste only the content inside the firmware update folder that you got from unzipping the downloaded file from Pioneer website. Cheers!

They'll self destruct... just kidding, nothing will happen but if you're not on a latest version and there is something fixed or new in an update then you'll want to do it

My new XDJ1000MK2 has been shipped with firmware 1.44. That version doesn't exist, current on on the site says 1.42 so now I cannot use my other XDJ. Therefore they're unusable. fml!

Lol I got the same problem, Bought two XDJ one is 1.44 version and the other is 1.42, max version on the site is 1.42 ! What do I do, did u find a solution ? Edit : A V1.44 is coming on the website, just dispatch the error message and it works like it should.
