Cute but the frame needs more gold for that true "cottagecore" look maybe rubbing some of the gilding waxes that are in the market...just a thought.

I just figured out how to fix a painting I got for almost nothing. It is a old one and I love it but like yours the mat is dingy and I am not a fan of the frame. Thanks for the inspiration

I wish you had put a acid free backing rather than cardboard. It looks great.

Want to redo a really old lamp

As a professional picture framer, if you really want to preserve a piece of art, take it to a professional and have new mats cut that are archival, or acid-free. Make sure it is done right! Leaving old acidic paper mats, non-UV glass, and paper backing in bad enough, but painted mats! 😢
