How to Update and Migrate a Destructible Vehicle Project in Unreal Engine 5.2

In this 8th video, I will show you how to update and migrate a destructible vehicle project from Unreal Engine 5.0.3 to 5.2 and above. This is a useful skill for anyone who wants to work with the latest features and improvements of Unreal Engine 5.2.
You will learn how to:
Switch Unreal Engine versions and fix any errors or warnings that may arise from the update process.
Fix the CitySampleSensorGrid plugin error that prevents the project from opening in Unreal Engine 5.2.
Create a new empty project in Unreal Engine 5.2 and migrate all the assets and blueprints from the original project.
Fix any issues related to the character animations, the enhance input, the vehicle center of mass, and the vehicle virtual texture.
By the end of this video, you will have a fully functional destructible vehicle project that runs smoothly in Unreal Engine 5.2. You will also have a better understanding of how to update and migrate any Unreal Engine project to a newer version.

On Patreon, if we download the most recent files for this project (The update and migrate one) will it come with ALL the vehicle stuff, basically having the entire car destruction thing ready-to-go?

@@catdaddymagic The latest project is provided, but not all the vehicles are included. Due to the fact that I am still working on this project. Yes, you'll get the entire car destruction thing the same as in the video and you are supporting me to continue this project.

@@jourverse Hey, so I joined and downloaded the Audio project. I opened with version 5.0 and it says "The following modules are missing or build with a different engine version". It is the Destructible vehicle, it's runtime, and the sensors grid. Was this meant to be added to the base project with the cars first, do i download them in order, or something else?

I updated with the 5.2 plugin file in, and when I activate the plugin, I get this error , could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually.

If i migrate city project everything folder, like game, effects and vehicles, this allows me to use all cars with their respective simulation?

No it won’t work. Because some functions and blueprints is c++ source.

Seem like I'm having "Unable to instantiate module 'UnrealEd': Unable to instantiate UnrealEd module for non-editor targets." for packaging that related to this custom AnimGraph code.

I refered to CitySample.uiproject, The module for runtime, they used "UncookedOnly" or "Editor" as the type.

if you removed the custom AnimGraph , isnt the packaged game wont have the custom Animation node naymore?

@@loodvenjoe9255 Yes, It wont have the custom animation node anymore. You need to remove all the c++ files related to the custom animation node. Without custom anim node you can't open the door and simulate the trunk.
