How to Update Software on Samsung Smart TV (Also How to Fix if Update is Greyed Out)

I show you how to preform a system software firmware update on your Samsung Smart TV.
Note that your TV must be connected to the internet doesn't matter if using wifi or wired connection. If your Update option is greyed out i also show you how to fix that. Let me know if you have any issues or questions thanks.

Stephanie Eagles me too!! I even contacted Samsung customer service via chat and they weren’t understanding the issue it seemed. Granted it was a chat and got disconnected lol but was chatting for like 15 mins. very happy to have this resolved thank you!!! 🙏

I followed your steps that you presented in this video but my "software update" isn't highlighted meaning, I can't click on it...weird.... *UPDATE*. I was able to update my TV the way you showed AFTER updating the time and date on my TV(all because my TV screamed at me to do it first). Finally updated my Tv after not being able to do it since I first got it back in 2012....LOL!! I felt it was time to finally do it since then...

Having the problem of the software option being grayed our BUT I don’t have the same remote. I have a tiny remote that came with my Samsung I bought it 3 years ago. Anyhow the “source” button doesn’t exist on this little remote lol what should I do. I can’t update to the latest software nor connect to my Samsung account cuz of it. Thank You!

It sounds like your tv is like mine. When you’re in that menu for apps scroll down to the tab that says “most popular apps” and that will show you the Netflix and RU-vid
