My question is that I've downloaded it for my Toyota Avalon 2014 . But , the installation package stuck at package 1 of 8 and now it's stuck in software mode . Some says it's iso file . So , I tried to use iso burner and then zip files but nothing seems to work and I don't know how to get out of update mode because my backup camera doesn't work anymore .

Now in 2023, I just updated my 2015 toyota avalon hybrid media software. Thank you . I struggled for a few times reformatting the usb drive. Finally it worked!

Did you see any issues with updating it to a much newer version? I am thinking about updating my 2018 to at least 2020 but i am not sure if it would even work or be compatible..
Thanks for this. I just put the software update on my flash drive and started reading the instructions. You cleared up some confusion I had with their instructions as written. I noticed you inserted the USB flash drive right after starting the car. The instructions have you start the car, go into the menu and slect Setup, software udpate, then insert the flash drive.

I was having issues with my 2015 4runner's display intermittently freezing/rebooting, and when I went to download the update, the newest update claims to fix this issue. I really appreciate this video. I did everything you said, made sure my flash drive is formatted correctly, inserted the flash drive into my 2014 Rav4 and nothing happens. I did it again using a different flash drive and still nothing happened. Do you have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate your input.
I believe there is a limit to the size of the flash drive that the vehicle will recognize I believe it is 16 or 32GB. Let us know if this helps! Thank you for watching!

Hi - Have you heard of the 4Runners having an echo issue when making phone calls? I already unpaired and repaired my iPhone multiple Times. Also installed the latest iOS software and I am clueless. Hello, I have a 2016 corolla with a 100571 and I tried to update it, it recognized the update and I gave it the update, it took a long time from 8/12 and it never finished. After more than two hours, I found my radio turned off and it doesn't turn on at all.
I own a 2013 4Runner LIMITED with navigation, I didn't see any option on the toyota site for 2013... Do you think I can update still? Curious, what year is your 4Runner.

Update I had no luck with software update as the existing was current I got a new head unit and my 2014 4Runner still reboots randomly, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
I have a 2015 Toyota Highlander and it didn't work for me. I followed your instructions from start to end. I called the dealership and they said the head unit is likely going bad, but he agreed to attempt to perform the necessary update for $300 plus tax!!! Not sure what to do.

hy i just receive my new rav4 hybrid 2020. i live in israel and apparently the unit multimedia jbl dont show me or not opening the wifi. so i can not link my key sim or my mobile to the systeme. there is a solution that my unit can see all the wifi around it? yhanks for your respons.
Thank you for this. I paid $60 for Toyota to supposedly download this but didn’t fix my problem. It shows the update but it doesn’t show the date, so assume they didn’t completed it properly. If I do this and repair it myself, I will be asking for my money back. 🙁. Thank you!!

I still haven't been able to fix the issue. I cannot log into Entune, it will not accept my VIN when I try to set up entune app. And when I try to download the software update from Toyota and download to a thumb drive, my car does recognize it on the thumb drive. I spent an hour with Toyota corporate yesterday, they couldn't help me either. Going back to dealership, corporate said my software is not the latest. I appreciate all your attempts at helping me!!!!
Are you using a Mac computer? If so the usb needs to be formatted in exFAT or FAT32 this can be done in the disk utility. Make sure there is nothing important on the usb before you format it because I believe it erases everything. Then redo the process. Thank you for watching! Hopefully this helps!

cant seem to update to 1010 my current one is 1008 i entered the vin number. i probably need to wipe out the flash drive have it empty or try another flash driver probably because its usb 3 im gonna try again later and update for my corolla 2020 LE
Just did this update on my 2017 Tacoma and now screen freezes on the start up screen, thankfully the back up camera still works. Has any one had this issue?
Can you share what prompted you to update ? Did the radio malfunction ? My is blacking out then start up in 2 seconds and has done it several times just got this 2014 4 runner used
That is the exact issue I was having on my system...it would freeze up and then randomly reboot. @@5MinuteFixit just tried to update appears done already current 0101D8 is on my unit before I tried to install update yet my 4 runner keeps doing it and it caused an engine stall in traffic had to coast into gas station. Any ideas? Good info definitely subscribe
The engine stall shouldn’t be caused by the radio malfunctioning, maybe an electrical issue with the whole vehicle. My 4Runner has a recall for the fuel pump that could cause the engine to stall. You should look into any recalls for your 4Runner. Thank you again!
@@5MinuteFixit thank you , I did log in to Toyota with my VIN and history shows fuel pump recall and replacement,also the update performed because customer complained of radio issue , however problem still exists,wish I could have seen this before buying guess I see where car lot got this car from auction thanks for all your help again

Does the USB drive have to be plugged in for the software update option to even appear in the settings? It doesn't appear for me. I'm using a 2013 Camry. There's only 3 options in general. Language, beep on/off, and Delete personal data.
@@5MinuteFixit The oldest year on the website for the Camry is 2014, and when I use my VIN number to select the 2013 Camry, it says there's no update available. Is there anything else I can do? Do you think it's ok to use the 2014 Camry update instead?
@@5MinuteFixit Yes, the computer looks like it's constantly crashing and restarting. When it does stay on, very few screens are accessible. The "car" screen that shows information about your trip works, the "audio" screen sometimes partially works, and the "apps" screen will attempt to show up but will crash the computer the instant the apps menu loads, sending it back into a loop of restarting constantly. I can always get to the startup screen via a physical button above the screen. When I go there, the "Bluetooth" and "Phone" options don't work when you tap on them, they just beep acknowledging you selected them, but they don't open.

has anyone had any luck getting CarPlay on an older screen I have a 2014 Toyota Camry hybrid and I would love to update it to an OS that has CarPlay which it has Bluetooth so I don't see any reason CarPlay wouldn't work

Our Prado is the Lexus GX460 in the states but I’m not sure that update will work. I think your best bet would be to find the Toyota update website for your country and search there for your vehicle. Thank you for watching
In Toyota camry 2016, On selecting firmware update, software update button is enabled but the popup - "The new software is..." not showing up. Any suggestions pls?

The issues that I had were Bluetooth connecting issues and also the whole unit would restart randomly and lose settings. This update fixed those issues. Thank you for watching, hopefully this helps!
My Toyota Avalon 2013 car after starting the Bluetooth system, GPS, radio are completely normal and work, they work even for a few hours when the car is on, but after stopping and turning off and starting again, they stop working and until the start They don't work the next day

This fixes the audio blur problem when putting it in bluetooth mode? that is, when I put a video on RU-vid when listening to the audio, it does not match the video. anyone know how to repair this?

I've always had this same issue as well and I can't find an update for my stereo system anywhere online. It's like all the files have disappeared and nobody can help to upload my specific vehicle stereo software at all. I have a 2014 Toyota Rav4 with the Entune system, no navigation or anything special. I've had to resort to using an app on my phone that let's you set the latency for bluetooth. Hopefully someone can help with this issue
Ah - manual says FAT32 format on the USB. I re-formatted as FAT32, put the .iso file on the USB and it worked w/ my 4Runner. It's a 2012 if that helps anyone...

@@5MinuteFixit yeah I’ve been threw it a few times now and unfortunately it still says it has trouble initializing Bluetooth. Annoying to but a new car and something as basic as Bluetooth doesn’t work. I know 2009 model cars with see less Bluetooth my god!
