Hello guys, I hope you’re all doing well! I just have a question regarding SSD upgrade on the Xbox one S. I was trying to replace my internal HDD to SSD but failed to do so. I have already tried all the Xbox offline update and etc and still didn’t work. Note: I have the most recent version of the update and it seems like the file OSUI in the Xbox website is an older version which makes it not possible for me to replace my SSD. What’s my option here? - I tried to clone my HDD to SSD but didn’t work as well. Any tips guys? Please help. I appreciate you all! Thank you!
Hey 2024 here, and this still works. I had some trouble getting into the auxiliary screen, i had to hold the "pair" button and the "eject" button at the same time while turning on the xbox, but everything else worked. Thank you for the video explanation. Very helpful
Hello guys, since you guys posted only a couple days ago I'll ask for your help. When I start my series x, it goes directly into the trouble shooting screen. Will the OSU fix this problem? Much appreciated 🙏
@@bigbossdavontae I had to do everything offline, my OSU update worked and fixed my update error problem. My Xbox wouldn't even load any other screen except the error screen, I thought it was completely bricked
Thank you! I was already on the xbox support page to offline update, but then I was having problems because my xbox1s wouldn't register that the flash drive was in it, you helped me because I didn't even know changing the flash's format was a thing
This worked on my E102 system error. Tried so many times to reset to factory and it always reverted back to the “Something went wrong” screen. It did take me two tries to get the offline update to work because the first attempt stopped halfway and gave me the same “Something went wrong” screen. I gave it an hour and tried again and it worked. It did however reset my Xbox back to factory because I have no games or apps on the Xbox but I’ll do my time and download them back. Thanks for the tutorial!
@@forcatatica6335 ....months later and still no answer so I've come up with my own answer Nobody actually knows how to fix the system or how to explain how it went dead .. there's literally just countless videos on RU-vid doing nothing at all but rereading the same message as you're seeing that led you to come to the video... safe to say RU-vid is completely pointless... A more hardcore answer is apparently our system got powered off as it needed to update so it caused a glitch in the system... isn't that something you pay hundreds of dollars for something to break from it incorrect update Xbox made a piece of crap system that literally destroyed itself and what's worse than having something break for no reason... not ever be able to find an answer another weird thing is a they force updates... so every time you update your system you're being forced to run into a chance of breaking it It's pretty much a scam that nobody's powerful enough to defend
Thanks to you, I don't have to pay $30 for a repair and thanks to your guide, I repaired my console after over 3/2 months of struggling with other guides.
I try doing this and it didn't work but i found another way if it doesn't work. And that is if you have a disk stuck inside the disk part. You can turn it off then hold the pair button and press the egect button and while holding the pair turn it on till it makes the noise and my disk came out and made it start the update. I hope that helps anyone if they have a problem like that
I've downloaded OSU1 and it doesn't update my Xbox it just keeps taking me to trouble shooting I've also tried deleting everything and restarting my game it's just stuck on trouble shooting right now

After I stick the usb in I click offline system update, from here it says something went from and only lets me continue back to the troubleshooting page. Does anyone know how to fix it
Man I hate it when all these tutorials say you have to go on a pc or laptop in order fix something, it really sucks, I just want a tutorial where you can just do it on the Xbox without any laptop or pc
I genuinely feel you on this, but for an issue like this it's the best you can do, You can use a public computer it works the same way, or if you have a Android Connector USB where you can connect the drive to your phone you can download and extract straight from your phone and do it that way, however formatting to nfts on Android is the issue
i think there is some problem with my xbox because for past 3 weeks it has been stuck on same process of updating and it still goes back to same screen no matter what even with the usb also that pop up aint coming so like can anyone tell whats the matter
So I upgraded disk to 2TB Crucial MX500 and before that I performed format to NTFS. I did everything like in the video with pendrive but everytime when I press "Offline system update" it shows 1% and then "Something went wrong" and I'm stuck with this one. I tried 3 pendrive's and none of them worked. Someone has/had similar problems?
I believe the issue is that your Xbox was previously updated to a version that is newer than what Microsoft is offering in their OSU1 file. The Xbox sees the OSU file as an older version and doesn’t work. I’m in the same boat. We need Microsoft to release an updated OSU file.
i just came from a another vid trying to fix my prob someone said that it has be 3.0 or later idk what that means i’m just passing what i saw hope it’s still relevant or maybe helps

I come back after the update starts, like a half an hour later. The console is off, and when I turn it on I’m back on the trouble shoot screen. I don’t understand
When the update finished, you were shown the original start up menu (select language etc) does this mean the console will be reset fully by doing an offline reset?
Thank you so much man!!! I was literally sitting for 3 hours straight on my laptop to get this happening, but after this tutorial it started instantly.... Thank you so much, You just earned 1 more subscriber🙏🙏🙏
hey, it doesn't work for me, it takes me to the something went wrong screen with the e101 error now. Did this happen to u too? & if it did, how did u counter it?
Hey my system error code is E100. I tried resetting but my console wont finish the last bar of the update. It stops at 62% and then goes straight to troubleshooting
@@lewissmith1288My guess is he inserted it into his PC and then Right Click on the windows button bottom left at desktop and then press on Disk Management and then inside disk management he right clicked on his Xbox HDD he inserted and then selected Format and chose NTFS and pressed ok and was good to go. Either that or an Egg.
What happened it ask me a question go MEDIA OR GAMES I choose GAMES then it FORMAT THE USB THUMB DRIVE WRECK THE USB THUMB DRIVE who the hell in MICROSOFT do this crap?
Bro if I were you I would take the monitor off the Xbox cus that is not good because you are putting strain on the console and I doubt it but the og Xbox has a hhd so it can damage it having pressure on it cus of the metal plate spinning and it alters the cooling on the Xbox
I have an issue where my Xbox1s digital gets stuck either on the black screen or the green screen, so I reset my Xbox1s to factory which didn't help at all. After that I followed your guide on an offline update which allowed me to actually get it started and I downloaded a game but then later when I came back the Xbox button was flashing twice and when I tried to turn it on it just black screened. I offline updated it again and now it now occasionally gets to the green screen but usually black screens. Do you think my HDD failed and would I be able to buy another xbox1 HDD on eBay and just replace it?
I follor this step by step and for some reason my xbox one s will not highlight the offline update when i plug the usb drive in. Yes the flash drive is usb 3.0 and formatted in NTFS and i coppied the OSU1 $SystemUpdate folder to the drive still not working for me. I put a brand new hard drive in
@@russianelmo6123 Yes, although It wasn't a very good method. I just tried restaring and stuff every once in a while and after 3 weeks it randomly turned on again
I go to do the "offline system update" button and for 1 second it shows a screen that says something went wrong and a continue button, the error code has changed to error code 101 from 102. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING
When I insert the usb it brightens up but fails when I click it (E102) I think I was on the xbox insiders program, any ideas I'm really stuck (My original hdd failed)
I downloaded the folder onto my flash drive and put it in my Xbox but I can’t select the Oflline Update option still. Anyone know a fix? I’d greatly appreciate it 🙏🏾😭
I have a E208, I did everything that it told me to do, but when I get 80% through the update it just stops and kicks me out. I still can’t get in because the update won’t finish.
This didn't work for me. I turned the console off, then turned it back on after 30 seconds and then turned on the console and plugged in the flash drive and the option remained grayed out. Any tips on how to fix this?
Better than the Microsoft instructions but you spent too much air explaining how to search for the update using a browser and far too much time on how to use a controller.
i did this an it worked. however it happened again literally 6 hours later and now my console wont sync and turns off after 20 to 30 seconds of being on
I have lost my front panel, so I cannot hold sync or power button. The xbox fails to boot and is already at the troubleshoot menu. But no matter what I try the offline option stays greyed out. is there a solution?
i did this, it worked for about 7 hours, then it wouldnt load any games and i restarted my xbox then the xbox wouldnt connect to my tv nor could i turn it off via button and my controller wont connect, xbox on tv says no signal yet nothing wrong with hdmi cable
My Xbox is cycling through alot of updates and I don't have the patience for that can I do this for it instead of updating it the normal way ??? P.s my consoles on is really behind
I usually just unplug the xbox and plug it back in and bypass this message obviously its not ideal but now my controller sometimes wont turn on and fails to connect to the xbox could this be because im not updating my xbox?
So my xbox wont update the 680 MB because i have slow internet So now i have to use my slow internet to download 6GB instead .. I don’t see why slow internet is a problem in the first place everything I download works it just takes longer time
