I have a Link Micro LTE. It was working fine then all of the sudden it stopped sending photos. I found this video and did everything it said. It only took a few minutes to preform the steps (outside of watching the full video). The camera works perfectly now! Thanks!
Hey Thanks...just happened to mine last 48 hours. Will change sd card first at have a 64 gb in there and that does not do it will follow your advice. Have two bought as a pair and works fine so hoping just sd card.
This would have been nice to know before going out and placing the cameras in the woods. Why wouldn’t you reach out to customers and let them know their devices may need a update?
Got my first deer camera last year and went with the Spypoint Micro. This year I got it out and just put it on a tree expecting pictures to come to my phone. Multiple videos that yall put out were very helpful and I got the SD card formatted and firmware updated. Camera is working again thanks to your videos.
@@ronniebrooks1313 just seen this sorry. 1. I downloaded the files to my computer 2. Opened the folder and copied all files (like 7 or 8 folders I think) 3. Pasted them to my SD card If that makes sense

I tried to update mine today and it seemed like it worked. It started sending pictures right away from the last week it’s been down. However the app hasn’t changed the firmware numbers to the current.
@@MrLongshot762 They did me like that too, goodluck getting them working. I'm done with them. Spent over $600 and they are useless. It took me 3 months to get my replacement as they kept charging my account for their monthly plan, now they will not honor it.

Camera updated 3 times, but the revision number is Status has not changed. Only update date and time has changed., Camera is STILL Rev 2, but rev I downloaded and installed is Rev 8. Looking at other brands now, as nobody has been able to get it to update.
SP, I have had 2 Link-LTE-V cameras and both have done the same thing (I have had to deal with Chat/CS to get a new camera sent to me). I have installed batteries put in field and they have worked flawlessly sending lots of photos (on paid plan). But with both cameras, once the batteries run out and I change the batteries the camera never connects again nor sends photos. Not matter how many times I download the software, update firmware, etc. I am sick of the camera and want a refund but it was a gift so I can't return it. Any way you can get someone 'higher up' in tech support to diagnose my problem and come up with a solution?

@@Spypoint Yeah, I bought YOUR battery, BOUGHT YOUR SD CARDs, formatted them, same thing happens to me... Soon as the battery goes dead the first time, which did take about 6 months, I recharge YOUR battery, reinsert. Camera won't send photo's, wont take the firmware update... Every other brand of Camera I own has zero problems... I have nothing but issues with these. Can I get reimbursed for my photo plans!

Question: Why was the option to update the firmware through the app/website taken away from the original flex cameras? Was so convenient when I did it that way through the website for my cameras last fall (2022) Just updated them cellularly and done, worked great every time. Now trying to help my sister that is in another state update her firmware and can't easily do that as it can't be done remotely any more.

I know this video is a year old ,but recorded a tech telling me that she don't know why they allow they allow these videos with miss information to air, she told me when u download new firmware from the computer to sd card and insert into camera and it goes through reboot process u have to leave camera on for 24 hour's for new firmware to update to camera, just point it at the wall and in 24 hours turn it off then back on ???
"Download the file" FROM WHERE! I have been all over the website from a desktop and I can find all videos telling me to download the firmware update. But no where can I find the actual link to update the firmware. I have two cameras that aren't working now..... EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Since the area I hunt is an hour and a half drive from home. I used these cameras for two years and loved them. I have never be challenged so much by a task that should be so simple.

I'm hoping you can help me as the chat never works and i sat on hold for 3 hours yesterday and then got hung up on. I've long formatted the SD card and updated the firmware. everything is installed correctly. it goes through the what seems normal light patterns , then they all turn off then when it goes to take a picture and th eorange steady light comes on it never goes out... i'm talking stayed that way for an hour. what do i do?
These are the worst cameras just updated in January, now and all 3 of them have issues again. And customer service never really helps i had problems downloading the firmware on their website. They said they would send me the link they sent me instructions. I've been dealing with the same issues for 4 years. How bout quit making updates, its not like its improving the picture quality.

I just spent 2 hrs with chat and that was a joke. I don't know if they can't read english but when my first statement was I bought a new sd card long formatted it with quick format unclicked, downloaded the version 2 and unzipped to card. Installed new batteries, installed the card watched it cycle thru lights and still shows old firmware and it does take pictures but won't send the pictures but does communicate with the app. And the first thing I get is you need a new sd card and fresh batteries lol. Safe to say after 2 hrs I still show the old firmware my camera takes pictures but won't send to the app. I give up I will just buy a different camera from Walmart no wonder they don't sell spypoint anymore.

I just got my spypoint camera and am trying to update the firmware. I have downloaded the update and ready to put it on the SD card, but the directories I see are DCIM and TRANSMIT. Not LINK-S_V2.10.34 or _MACOS
Hi Chip, you need to long format the SD card and then update the firmware. The DCIM folder will contain pictures, you can save them to the computer if you wish. My camera will not update the firmware. These are the steps that I have taken in this exact order MULTIPLE TIMES : 1. FORMAT micro SD card via Mac. Put card in computer. Go to disc utility. Erase using ms dot (fat). 2. Go to spypoint website and in the REV search bar I type 2 which is the number under my "camera status" v. xx.xx.xx REV 2. Click search. Download the zip file. Double click the zip file on desktop which opens a regular folder with files inside. Drag and drop the folder to the SD card. Right click on the file xxxxxxxxx. Command (something like that) and click run or open with terminal. A little black box opens and at the bottom is says complete. 3. Eject the SD card n Place the SD card in the camera. 4. Turn on camera, AND IT IS SUPPOSED to do a specific light sequence and update firmware and it does not. It just does the normal light sequence (status light green flashing, searching for signal ) like it normally would. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Hello, if that is what it is showing then it is not able to detect the SD card. First, you can try to format the SD card and then if that does not work you can get a new SD card. You have to use an SD card between 2 GB to 32 Gb and it should also be class 10. You can either get a Sandisk SD card or buy a Spypoint one at the website.-PP
I've been having issues with my Camara connecting to the cell towers. It will take photos for several days in a row then no photos for a while, day or two later then it works fine. It's up and down all the time. I called customer support and they told me I had to update the unit. Then I asked how do I do that? I have to go all the way out to the woods, retrieve the Camara and hook it up to a laptop. So I'm looking for a plug in to hook up the Camara to my laptop. There is no plug in, as I watch this video it's the SD card that performs the update. So why wouldn't he just tell me I can use any SD card as long as it's the correct class and upload the update to the SD card. This is all not very simple to do, it's a hassle compared to modern technology. Wyze security Camaras do updates right from their app, no need to remove or do anything with the Unit. Why is this company not implementing Camara updates within the app. Sounds like they need to hire a company to help them out in this sector. I'm planning to buy a new trail Camara. I think I will go over to a better company that does things all remote. Less hassle and probably way better picture quality. Because the picture quality is not good.

@@Spypoint It’s still not working. I’m using the smaller camera sight the smaller SD card it came with. Where my camera is there is no signal so I’m just using it as a regular camera and checking the SD card every week or so. But lately it says “no photos to import.” (Which is not true) so I’m rlly confused to what is wrong with it.

Question: Can I run the camera without sending (and having to pay for) photos? I'm happy to check the camera regularly and trade out SD cards and can do it easily.
Al, what the spypoint person was meaning to say, was that you do not need a plan. When these shitty cameras quit sending photos to a paid plan, they are still typically taking photos and storing on your sd card. Do yourself a favor and go with reconyx or reveal. I have 12 spypoints, thought they were great and am now regretting it every day. Quit while you’re ahead these cameras are awful
Should you delete all the files on the sd card once your done with the firmware update? I looked at the sd card and it looks like some of the firmware files are still there? I verified the firmware version is updated just didnt want to take it back out and have it try updating again.

Their customer support is a joke. I have been having issues with 3 cameras. All I get is the same troubleshooting and then disconnected. From this experience. I can't say that I will ever buy another of their cameras.

They don't seem difficult, they ARE difficult and often the problem is in the unit itself so you can download as much as you want and it won't help. And best to buy your batteries in the largest package you can find.
@@Chahlie I've got 4 now. They work okay. I called them 1 time and had them do the firmware process for me and that worked out good. The app just changed a few weeks ago and I had to set up my notifications all over, but I haven't had a major problem that they haven't helped me fix so far.

These cameras are complete trash. I thought the whole premis behind a cellular camera was to not disturb your hunting area. With this peice of junk you have to go out and update it once a week
