Thank you, been searching for a video like this because i have to do some upgrade of mine... i also wonder how to replace the keyboard, i need to replace to US version, mine now is in Japan version.
Hi, thanks for the short intro. However, I have two questions on top: 1) Did you ever install a second SSD in the empty slot? Because I have, and it has some issues (SanDisk Ultra 3D 1 TB, disappears from the system after partitioning/formatting, although it's recognised by BIOS and obviously it showed correctly in the drive management). 2) do you know if there is a module to replace the CD/DVD drive by additional USB ports? Because those are all located on the right and get in the way when using a wired mouse.
Did not install second SSD but had similar issue with Asus laptop in the past and it was more like software issue, try google the issue! Don't really remember what i did but i did get it working. Don't know about CD/DVD replacement but docking station might solve your problem if your laptop is stationary. Hope it helps.
@@ToxicNerd Thanks for the reply. I have done some searching, also in various search engines as google will no longer provide the best answer, that's how I found your video. I'll see if there are other software settings which might cause the issue, but I already looked into it and found nothing suspicious. For the CD bay replacement: I need it mobile, so a docking station will not help, unfortunately. Thanks again, and greetings!
@@fx5492 Hi, yes, indeed I solved the problem: The SSD from SanDisk was the culprit. It only works in some machines, but not in this one. I'm using a 2TB SSD from Intenso now, works perfectly.
for better performance from laptop between using only 1 tb ssd nvme or 500gb ssd nvme + 1tb ssd sata or 500gb ssd + 2tb hard drive What would be the best storage option?
