I was the same haha. I didn't go east to kakariko after finishing the plateau, I sort of went South and swept around so I totally missed him in the first location on my first playthrough haha
I found it when I first went to the village for the main quest, I had 1 korok seed so I expanded weapon inventory. But then I forgot where to find him and I stacked up like over 20 korok seeds
Link: makes it into korok forest The Great Deku Tree: LINK you have awakened what you see here is the sword you held 100 years ag- Also Link: yeah yeah cool im a hero anyways- where is hestu?
I can't believe this. 100+ hours in with every main quest complete besides fighting Ganon done over half the side quests and have 60 seeds. Just finding out about this
Did some research and it seems like Hestu will allow you to exchange seeds 2x on the first visit and 6x on each of the next two encounters. That equals 14 times you can exchange seeds for slots. If that's accurate, I'm confused. To expand inventory slots (all three types: weapon, bows, and shields) to the maximum, you'd need to exchange seed 35 times (and a total of 441 seeds). Can anyone help? Thanks.
I feel like I’m either lucky or getting the typical botw experience because I encountered this mission on my way to zora’s domain and I see people just missed Hestu meanwhile I found Sidon which lead me to Hestu after like 16 - 20 hours (I think) by accident 😅
Thank you for the know how! I needed help finding him the 2nd time around!" I just started playing this game not to long ago! I really enjoy playing BOTW!" I should have played it much sooner!"
Glad i could help out and also glad you are enjoying botw! Such a masterpiece of a game. With the sequel not far away its probably a good thing you waited this long to play it haha. Good luck with the rest of the game!
@@SuperMilltendo indeed it's a satisfying game! I can see why people are so hyped about the sequel." I know I am!" Anyways if I get stuck again I'll come back to you but just to let you know I subbed and liked 😉👍✌
Thank you so much for the sub! I got guides for most of the game but unfortunately I never made any guides for the divine beasts for some reason haha. Any equipment, gear and points of interest etc I have guides for though along with some parry compilations, all in a single playlist on my channel. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game and wishing you good luck on your adventures once again!
@@SuperMilltendo I will indeed check out your playlist this afternoon!" I like gameplays, but I do respect gameplays I can learn from, especially if I'm not familiar with a certain game or if I get stuck and need something to go by."
I finished 2 divine beasts. Collected 200 korok seeds. Have 20 hearts, 2 3/5 of stamina. Accidentally walked into Ganon’s room, defeated him. Reloaded my save before I fought him. Finished trials of the master sword. Collected misko’s hidden armor…….. and I JUST found out you can expand weapon slots. 💀💀💀💀💀 they should really hint to you for this before hand. But hey at least you become more resourceful with what you USED to be able to handle.
Is it weird that I ignored Hetsu on my very first visit to Kakariko village? Like.. I saw Hestu on my way out to visit the science girl (idr her name but she's best girl), but it never crossed my mind to stop and talk to him.
So I know you need like 441 seeds to max out your inventory I'm guessing on all three melee shield and bow but like my question is does it stay at one seed per upgrade or is it more expensive at the second location He's at? Thanks
Hey, that is correct about the amount you need in total. I always find it funny how even after getting all 900 you are still left with 459 in your inventory. As for the cost, each option (weapons, bows, shields) scale individually. I don't know the exact amounts sorry but if you keep upgrading weapons only the cost for shields and bows stays low until you start investing in them. Hope this made sense to you.
@@SuperMilltendo i think they placed 900 korok seeds while only needing 441 so you only have have to find half of the koroks instead of every single one of them to max out inv
How are we meant to find him the second time? The first encounter is on a road you walk for the main quest. Then he says korok forest; are we meant to just randomly go to that shrine and see him?
Dan Rudder no, I mean he says he’s going to Korok Forest, but he doesn’t go there immediately. He goes to that horse stable. You have to find that stave and talk to him a second time before he shows up in the Forest
This was better than the last video I watched for locations. They just stop after the intro and reiterate what Big Leaf says. Like WTF is Kariko Forrest?
Correct! I have seen him at the wetland stable but I didnt even know about the woodland stable until a few days ago when i randomly stumbled across him there. I made this video back at the games launch where both times i tried to find him he was at the same stable so i assumed that was the only location he could be found.
hahaha the game does guide you towards Kakariko after leaving the great plateau and if you follow the main path you should stumble upon Hestu in his first location. In my first playthrough of the game i completely missed Hestu until around half way through as i went West after leaving the plateau to purposefully avoid going the direction the game intended me too. This was after I beat the game and was starting to upload videos using a second profile.
I’m going for the 999 as spent more than 1000hs on the game. It’s going to take more to get the 999 star fragments though. I’ll see how I go up to Zelda 2 coming out.
I know this is late in the game. I cannot get my bow inventory maxed. I get an ALL DONE, from Hestu. i have over 450 korok seeds in my inventory still. ANYONE KNOW WHY?
If they are one off items that's you can't buy anywhere else the odds are the character grante/Grande from the tarrey town side quest will help you buy these items again. Maybe even try the gerudo jewellery shop again if it's just the jewellery you are looking for. I have guides on my channel for both if you are stuck.
might be just a lil late but the armor invent doesnt have a max amount of space that i know of, the only things that are limited in space and shield, weapon, and bow
For parrying everything i guess haha. Having a one handed sword makes your shield able to be pulled out after an attack vs a 2 handed sword which you have to put away to use your shield. A shield is definitely still an essential item to have for sure, purely for parrys in my opinion.
@@SuperMilltendo I know it's a game mechanic, but isn't is more logical and effective to always keep your shield in front of you? But whatever, if Link dies it's his fault he doesn't know how to use a shield :D Thanks for replying and have a nice day!
It adds a new page when you fill up the current page and collect more armor, if you dont have amiibo you will have enough slots for all armor in the game, however if you have amiibo and dlc you wont be able to hold all armor in the game as it caps at 4 or 5 pages if i remember correctly.
it is likely tied to the time of day you tried to visit him. i think he will only show up in the daytime, if not then check at the first location again to make sure he has definitely left that spot.
Did you speak with him in the first location and upgrade with him a few times to make him leave and head for the second location? If you did then all i can think of is that maybe he doesnt appear at night there? Or maybe try closing and reopening the game or warping back to the shrine.
@@SuperMilltendo nah I found out what happened. Apparently since I glitched fos extra hearts and stam he skipped over the second location and straight to korok forest
There are 900 koroks scattered across the entire map. They can show up anywhere to be honest. Each one gives you a seed. Try checking under rocks, diving into flower rings, hitting suspicious looking targets, or finding some of the many puzzles tgroughout the game.
You don't need too. When you collect a full page the next page will be there automatically. The only way you can have too much armor is if you have the dlc and all amiibo. I think you get 5 pages of armor if i remember correctly.
No real reason. The game is pretty easy so i wanted more of a challenge. This was recorded on my second playthrough. I still done the shrines for stamina/just for fun.
@@SuperMilltendo ohh I'm really bad at the game well not to bad I only have 14 hearts but and I get 1 beamed from guardians and die in 2 hits from lynx I was like how can you survive that along lel
I think you need at least 1 korok seed but he should show in the first location. Not sure if he shows there at night so maybe make sure it's daytime and he should definitely be there
If you follow the video he will be there. Time of day might be a thing. I can't recall ever seeing him at night so make sure it's day time and he should show up as shown in the video.
If you are talking about the second time when he is near the stable, i didnt know when making this video but he can also sometimes appear further down the road at the next stable sometimes. Try to find him there. You must find him on the hill by kakariko first and must give him the maraccas and upgrade a few times before he will move to the next location too. Hope this helps.
At one of the four great fairy fountains, I have a video showing the location of all of them on my channel. You need to find one fairy for each level up but once you have found all 4 you can use any fairy to level up equipment to level 4, the desert one has the closest shrine warp.
