I'll add my pro tip too as I noticed George's dad saying the wires are "always fighting me" - side cutters are designed to be used the other way when stripping insulation from wires! The angle of the blade works with you in that direction.

I bought the “Bass Bins” on eBay used which had the advantage that they came with the proper smart tweeters, however most sellers online are selling the parts for LHD smart so you need to be very careful. Regarding +ve or neg on the speakers , I always touch a 1.5v battery to the speaker wires to see which way the diaphragm deflects , if you got the positive right it should deflect upwards. these look like 451 boxes. I have 450 and they look different. Looks like they are fully compatible and wish I knew that earlier

Does the dash simply refit back in place or is there any cutting required? Obviously the original speakers would need to come out. Cheers.

The wires go trough the round tubes on the boxes , not out side

if you have an original smart radio , theres a small module that you need to insert for the power to increase and getting the crossover between bas en tweeters

So i have been looking for the LHD speaker boxes but so far even with the product codes i cant find a thing on google. Any chance you got a link or where did you pick them up?
