It IS possible to have the recoil action and the smoke and flashing barrel. We did it tonight to my Heng Long M4 Sherman. Its a bit of a pain but its worth it if you want total realism. We removed the recoil barrel from the turret and disassembled the actual internal recoil unit to remove the inner gun tube barrel and the large ring that it set in as neither is needed if you are going to remove the BB capability anyway. We then removed the inner recoil mechanism and cut off the portion that you can see move back and forth when you fire the gun. This creates a nice large opening that we fed the light wire and the smoke tube nearly all the way to the end of the barrel. Then we reassembled everything. Make sure you test it at each step of the way to make sure you still have functionality once its fully reassembled. It is so much cooler now that it has the recoil, flash, and smoke!!! The Sherman never did fire the BBs all that well anyway. At least not compared with my Tiger 1 and M26 Pershing. The longer barrel models work much better for the BBs. Good luck!
Also! Make sure to remove the channel that the BBs travel down from the turret hatch. Its no longer needed and you will have to snap it off anyway to get everything apart. Its just hot glued in.
Thanks for your video. I was about to want to upgrade my Tk-7.0 Walker Bulldog 3839 until you said either flashing LED or BB's but not both. Whoa! I guess I'll wait for Heng Long to design a new version that will have both options built-in. Thanks for your detailed video, though. Keep up the great woth on these RC mods.
When you turn the unit of by G+S functions does it still heat the unit or does it completely kill power to the unit I ask if a on off switch is needed to shut off heating element?
I would like to purchase this for my tank, but the barrel/mantlet/airsoft unit doesn’t have that port on the side where you hook in the tube from the smoke generator. I have a Henglong Abrams Professional. Is this port something you all did yourselves, or is it included in certain models of tanks only?
U remove the barrel there's a plastic part behind it. Remove the plastic piece then fit the tube into the metal part that the barrel attaches to. Now U can fit the hose where the bb's would feed into the barrel. Remove the tray were the bb's would slide down into the barrel. Remove that cover, fit the hose under the tray Dremel out a small hole for the hose to come out an attach to the smoker tank. U should know the rest.
Did you also have issues with new Heng Long rc tanks speakers my Jagdpanther tank speaker start to make scratching noises now it stop working I dit find a rc speaker on line for good price hope it will not do a same

I am having a problem,i am useing 7.0 system i can get flash and smoke ,but not barrel recoil, flash and smoke. what am i doing wroung barrel recoil from fireing bb gun .

Getting your barrel to smoke WITH BB shooting can be done, but the smoke output will be very negligible if any at all. The smoke pulse is very short from the system, so thats why a tube is ran down the barrel stopping just shy of the muzzle. Of course you cant have a tube in the barrel and expect to fire a BB down it.@@Schultz98
