Great video, Carrie! Tushy is the only one normalizing conversation about bidets. Please consider making a realistic video showing what happens, using a mannequin butt or other analog. Put a GoPro camera and lights inside a toilet or use a clear acrylic bowl. Instead of peanut butter, which is far more oily and stickier than poo, use dark bread dough or Playdough. It would help people know how long to typically use the water and see that the butt is just as clean as taking a shower. I’m so glad I don’t need to worry about buying toilet tissue. When my friends complain now about running out of TP, I tell them to consider installing a Tushy!
Installed my Tushy yesterday, and am so very pleased with it. I thought I'd need the warm water spa version, but the classic feels fine. I so like grabbing a Tushy towel to pat dry (and you're right, you can use a towel more than once. I keep mine in a plastic container and will use it for a week before starting with a new one.). Best of all, no more using and wasting reams of toilet paper every month. And I'll admit, often times I'd wipe my butt and check how much I wiped out. Ewww.No more looking at my own poop. Great product. Thanks for making it affordable.
Maybe someone already asked this before, but how does it work for women? I know you said it only sprays where the nozzle is pointed but wouldn’t it still splash poop into the lady area? I don’t understand the angles - it looks like it’s shooting from back to front and we were always taught to wipe front to back to avoid getting infections. I read a comment that said the water wasn’t getting them fully clean - how do you know if you’re clean? Also, do you need to flush before using the bidet?
Water doesn't behave the same way as toilet paper, so instead of carrying the bacteria forwards it hits its mark and falls straight down. No risk of contamination, and since the stream is adjustable you can use it on the front to help prevent UTIs. You can always check if you got everything with a few squares of TP. As for whether you flush first, that's a personal decision.
Baby wipes. Recommend Parent’s Choice (I use unscented) because they’re inexpensive and work very well. Important to have a trash receptacle within easy reach - do NOT flush baby wipes! After using the bidet, wipe with one baby wipe. If you have used the bidet properly, the wipe will be unsoiled after wiping. Fold in half and wipe again and you may even want to fold again and give a third wipe. You’ll soon get skilled with your bidet and the roll of paper will last months! Occasionally, the wipe will not be clean. Uh-oh! That means you didn’t use the bidet properly - or you’ve had one of those rare explosions that . . . Well, just go ahead and use that standby roll of paper (and maybe jump in the shower). With time, you’ll get so adept at it that you’ll hate having to use a public toilet because you won’t have your bidet. They’re inexpensive, effective, and easy to install.
My sister and her b/f came over so I could use his drill for the hole in my cabinet for the hot water line for my Spa. He went ahead and drilled the hole. Being the quintessential handyman, when I showed him the hot water hose, he saw the brand new, shiny Tushy and couldn't help himself and started installing it. Didn't even need the instructions, except for sandwiching the unit between the seat and the toilet. My 1st use was pretty good, other than forgetting to turn the hot water back on, and having to pull the Tushy forward a little so the nozzle would tilt properly. The 2nd use was much better....and warmer. lol
I've been debating buying a Tushy for a long time. I just got back into town from visiting a relative - and they had a Tushy! After using a Tiushy for a week and then coming home and trying to go back to using toilet paper, I realized that I needed to order one immediately.
I bought some I expensive we face towels to use to pat dry along with a small step-on trash bin. One-time use for sanitary purposes and then throw them in the wash when the bin is full! Happy tushy! Bidets will change your life.
I’ve been thinking of getting the toilet top style since I’ve used the bríndelo travel for years. The only problem: I can’t seem to use it as most reviewers advise, just rinse and dry. I must wash with soap too or I will feel dirty after a few uses without washing.

Trying to really imagine how this works, but still confused a bit and have a few questions....With the water coming from behind, going forward, doesn't that tend to spread poop bacteria toward lady bits? We're always taught to wipe front to back to avoid bladder infections. Also, how comfortable do you feel sharing your toilet with guests when you have a bidet? I see the nozzle is covered except when in use, but i still feel squeamish imagining any part of nozzle getting peed or pooped on by anyone else, then using it myself. :)
We just got our tushy spa and so far is has been a great experience, however me and my partner have both noticed after we poo and use the tushy there is still poo left on our butts. We’re trying to go toilet paper free, and we’re just not sure what we’re doing wrong! I even tried letting it run for awhile and the poo is still there. What should we do? Is there some sort of trick we’re missing?
Wipe with toilet paper first. Then rinse off. Lol shave. I thought the whole point of the bidet was its supposed to be cleaner. There's not a single mention of soap. They do it better in the Philippines 🇵🇭 soap that anus after every bowel movement. There's going "woke" then There's actually being councious about having a clean anus. One is a fade the other just makes sense. Or you can stick with the busy U.S. lifestyle of wiping and at the EOD taking a shower.
Um, yeah, you need soap and manual agitation. Using an empty soda or water bottle is free, easy and does the job. Or if the tub is near and you’ve got the shower head on a hose that’s great too but there is no skipping the soap and scrub step…..unless you like to be dirty.

hmm, i'm a little confused.. In one of your other videos, you give an example were: one was to finde poop on ones arm. Here it would make sence to: clean oneself with water over just toiletpaper. I'm thinking one should or need to use ones hands and a soap, in combination with the bidet to really get clean. Have I misunderstood something? Are you only useing water?
It's a water jet to the buttocks. I'm guessing the objective is rinse off the waste, not take a shower? If your butt is dirty enough to need soap u probably need to step right into the tub! Not tired of smearing poop around on your backside with TP? 🙂

We ordered the Tushy Classic x2 for bathroom up and downstairs! I wish we had known about the Spa, but the hot water is too far away for us to have that one anyway so Tushy Classic will be better for us! I am anxious to install tomorrow and so is hubby.🎉🎊🎉
I have an electrical bidet and the Plummer put a small hot water heater under my sink. Love it. I dry with a wash cloth and put it in a clean trash can, then to the laundry room when I'm ready to do that load. No the bidet doesn’t always get you spotless but it is so much better than plain toilet paper My bidet even has a seat warmer.
@@jamielanza4915 just making sure I understand, after one executes a number 2, one should flush before using the "self washing" mode (to give time for the water to get warm) and THEN they can use the regular bidet mode, right? There fore flushing prior to bidet self washing mode will prevent fecal water backsplash (upwards) towards the gluteus maximus.

I’m concerned about one thing . I can’t put my knees together when I’m sitting on the toilet , hence why I’m not an astronaut. Is it required when using this bidet , or will you have water spraying out lol
Hi there! That's not going to be an issue. We would recommend sitting further back on your seat and using a combination of the nozzle switch and the angle of your body to prevent splashing and get the best outcome!
So... you almost answered everything I had questions for. I have seen some videos saying that you need to actually wash your hole with your hand and the pressure washer, what’s the deal?
I like the idea of a bidet and washing the bum with warm water. I currently use hydrogen peroxide on TP and sometimes have to use quite a bit, but a bidet could cut that down to only having to use TP once. I'd still use the hydrogen peroxide though just to be clean and kill germs.
So I was just on Hulu watching Crocodile Dundee the original and in the part of the movie where he's in the hotel room trying to figure out the bidet I thought I don't know how a bidet works I've never used one so I Googled it which brought me to your video and I watched it and now I'm going to buy a bidet the new spa version to be exact because I want warm water on my bum but thank you for this video I didn't know I needed this in my life but apparently I do and I'm pretty excited about getting it thank you

Nice video. I think the "spa version" requires access to your hot water line. Look closely at the white tube going towards the sink. If your toilet is not near the hot water, go with the original. The installation with the original is easier. You only need to connect to the water line on the toilet (with a splitter). The cold water cleans just fine. I use wet flushable wipes with mine but I can see a towel working if you aren't sharing a bathroom. I only reuse towels once or twice, so reusing my booty towel would not be my preference. I have toilet paper, I think I use a roll every 4-6 weeks.

@@elsagrace3893 Soap and scrubbing (scrubbing???) are not necessary. If you require soap and scrubbing, you need to get one of these ASAP! I recommend flushable wipes or a washcloth to dry if you don't want toilet paper residue.
Does one need to use one's hand along with the water like with alota, or will the spray do all the cleaning? i'm thinking of buying one for myself and another for my 80 year old mother and need to know
Eastern toilet is both toilet and bidet together also it’s easy, fast and healthy to use too . You just need to add little string of water and it is really environment friendly because you don’t use any toilet paper just water 💦
Sorry about this but I have a little embarrassing question. It looks to me that the Tushy can get quite gross if your 'stuff' is a little liquid. Without the Tushy, the poop goes on the back wall of the toilet bowl and get rinced when you flush the toilet. But what happens when you have a Tushy installed? You have to clean it each time this happens as there is no water going on the Tushy nozzle itself?
Glad you asked! The nozzle retracts into a little cocoon when not in use, and has an automatic self cleaning feature that runs water over it before each use :)

I'm an adult male, I'll say things aren't exactly smooth on my rear, how long and I supposed to sit before it's clean hair and all from just water flow? Seems like it's gonna take awhile.

I'll be realistic. I'm sure most of us have gotten feces on our hand at some time, whether from a messy movement, changing a babies diaper or what have you. Spraying water, even at a somewhat high pressure won't get all the fecal matter off. Especially if you're a hairy person. What if you want a clean backside after every toilet event? What procedure/steps should you take to accomplish this?
Ummmm, Expert tip here: If you have recently increased your water pressure you will definitely want to adjust the flow rate valve. You rinse can turn into an enema in only a second.
The bidet toilet seat attachment is the state of the art in personal hygiene. Those who think otherwise, have never thought it through thoroughly, or done extensive experimentation - resulting in the proper protocols. Most people would prefer not to think about it - with predictably disastrous results they are OK with. It becomes a huge problem especially among the older folk - who may not have done a perfect job even in their best of years - and then heaven help whomever needs to clean up after them when they can’t do it themselves. A bidet would take care of most of the job, and then all one had to do was dry up. But the trick here is running the bidet for at least a minute to ensure that level of cleanliness, and not the 20-30 seconds generally recommended. Thus, one should have a timer next to the toilet to ensure that usage. And then once that is done, I spray witch hazel onto a dry bamboo microfiber face cloth - and fold that over four times. Then flush. Because there is no toilet paper involved, toilets will usually flush cleanly, as toilet paper is actually the major reason for clogs. Then put a generous daub of dish washing detergent on the towel, and turn on the cleaning nozzle and clean the toilet - including and especially the rim that tends to get splattered by urination and defecation. Pay particular attention to that space just under the rim. Wring out the towel after wiping the bowl proper, and again after wiping the rim. Then proceed to wipe the control knobs for the bidet, the underside of the toilet seat, then the top of the toilet seat, and the rest of the toilet easily reachable. Then flush again. At that point, the toilet is in pristine condition, and the towel can then be put on the shower mat preparatory to showering, where it can soak up shampoo and soap preparatory to its final wash and wring, and then placing it on the shower rod to dry. Before doing that, one will have used a cleaning brush (like a dishwashing brush) with soap for a thorough cleaning of the anus before wiping it off with the towel for a final wipe - and final wring. That is the super clean cycle. However, many people will have more than one bowel movement per day, and the shorter version should suffice, and the towel wrung out and hung to dry after cleaning the toilet. The cleaning of the toilet takes an additional 30-60 seconds - but ensures that their toilet is the strength of their environment rather than the weakness and source of contamination for one’s entire living space. That’s how a lot of people get infections - particularly urinary tract infections because of the inadequacy of the cleanliness that easily migrates to the urinary openings. This is a huge problem among the older folks - in addition to the obvious odors and sights from inadequate cleaning. So these people need all the help they can get - and learning the proper protocols to ensure their own best care should be undertaken as early as possible - and that is the best use of one’s time, when one has all the time in the world to do things right - especially when everything they do becomes more critical. But at this stage of life, many have been conditioned to believe what they do no longer matters - especially if no one else is paying them to do it right. However, those who have been conditioned to think that everything they do does matter, will experience life on a higher level - and not the worst - as though it is all the same outcome no matter what. Those people are entirely wrong. The best is not the same as the worst. But one has to be able to “discriminate” such differences.
Without soap no thing is clean down there, water is just removing the superficial part is not killing bacteria and how that’s make sense to use the same tissue
Very disappointed. Just got it installed. The angle adjuster does nothing. And it just sprays up the back, doesn’t even get where it should and makes a mess. I ordered 3. One for myself and 2 for gifts but I think I’ll be returning all 3.

Anyhow haven't moved up to a "pro unit"... have a "portable" battery-powered one for travel, and a hand-held pressurized garden sprayer with a long nozzle. Will check out the bamboo TP... I was just thinking about that when you mentioned the trees... we also have a lot of bamboo *plants* here @ home.
No, it doesn’t. The steady stream of water rinses all of your parts. The pressure isn’t high enough to create a lot of splash. That much pressure would be painful. The water is focused in about a 2 inch circle around the anus then drips down, carrying poo into the toilet. The only reason poo might splash around is if you turn on the water in the middle of a bowel movement instead of waiting until afterward.
Think next time you can do a real-time demonstration so we can actually see it in action? When I watch deemos of products they always show how it works.
Shouldn't the nozzle face to the rear - be mounted at the front of the toilet seat? Then the butt water wouldn't flow over the vagina/labia. Also, while water flow is better than nothing, I don't accept that one is "clean" after using a water only spritz. Seems like one should use a soapy towelette too. I'm hoping for a flushable soapy towelette for a toilet.
