This video you will learn how to use a circular saw from a table and saw horses.
Always make sure you are wearing your personal protective equipment when cutting with a circular saw. (Safety glasses and ear protection) Gloves are not mandatory only an extra precaution to protect your hands. Not all gloves are cut resistant. If you are using a circular saw on a daily basis I would recommend using cut resistant gloves. (Mechanix framing gloves used in the video)
When cutting from a table set up some 2x4s under the sheet of plywood that you are cutting to keep the plywood from binding causing the saw to kick back. Also set the blade depth so that the saw blade is only 1/4 inch (maximum) deeper than the thickness of the plywood you are cutting.
When using saw horses, make your cut so that the shorter piece of your material will drop down to the ground. NEVER MAKE A CUT IN THE CENTER OF YOUR MATERIAL WHEN IT IS SUPPORTED ON EITHER END. This will cause the saw to bind and kick back potentially causing serious injury.
