Dribble bar great for growing grass but the macinator in our hi spec can be a pain in the hole if it starts getting blocked but it's the way all slurry have to be spread in a few years time
Phil i notice you bought masteck dribble bar i hear lads criticising them for the way they are mounted causing stress and strain on tankers that were only designed to carry a splash plate what's your opinion?
I wouldn’t think there’s any massive amount of strain on the back of the tanker but I can see it may become a problem when the metal starts to get thin on the inside of the tanker
Hi Phil. Great vid. Why do you switch the oil flow to change the direction of the chopper? Do you add much water per bay when spreading with dribble bar ?
In the video I do it because the tractor gets it hard to pull the tanker with a full load on soft ground and drive the maserator but in normal situations I would still do it but not as frequent so that the blades in the maserator wear evenly, that used to be key in the longevity of a volgestien maserator. For the dribble bar tanker I find it doesn’t need to be any more wartery than you would have normal slurry for a splash plate tanker
The trail shoe has a higher maintenance because of how it has extra moving parts over the dribble bar which is simpler and the do pretty much the exact same job
i imagine it should be able, the maserator doesn't need to spin fast once its going round at all you should be in business provided the poor flow doesn't cause the maserator to jam often
