Today I will show you how I saw metal using jeweler's saw frame for sawing. I will use sterling silver metal sheet and will cut out few couple of jewelry designs. In this jewelry making tutorial I will share tips and hacks for sawing. I will be using Haymaker saw frame by Pepetools and Nano saw blades. There are many saw blades available for silversmithing and sawing metal, these proved to be very good.
If you're looking for videos that explain how to make jewelry at home make sure you watch this one! On this channel i share tips and advice on how to make jewellery and run a jewellery making business. I also share my jeweler's studio and creative process as a full time jewelry maker. I’m thinking of trying the nano blades , as I am using pike blades at the moment, but like the storage tubes on the nano as they have metal thickness guides on the case , which make life easier.

Yes, that's definitely a huge perk! I really like the Nano blades, lately tried them with brass too and they did a great job! I used Pike ones before too and was very happy with them. These are all good quality blades. You should definitely try Nano ones and compare

Hiya Lady Stardust, yet again you have shown us how to in great detail and with incredible skill. Plus the idea of putting the pin clamp in a vice is pure brilliance, lifting it to a working height and still adjustable to the final position. Thank you, dear lady, I love it, and I will be using the idea. Stay safe, Steve...

Hi Steve! So happy to see your sweet comment ❤️ I'm glad you enjoyed the video. And yes, this was such a simple idea! But it helps so much, and it's surprisingly comfortable. Will be more than enough while I work on this temporary bench. A hobby bench vise like this is a great little tool and everyone should have it, you can do a lot with it! Use it as a ball vise replacement when paired with a little work holder, fix the jump ring cutting tool in there or use it for bench peg. And there's more! I'll include these in my next video with tips 🥰 Btw, I got this bench vise here in Poland, but it's nearly identical to the one I had before, which I bought in Aldi. Lidl and other shops like that (and home depot/tools/craft shops) usualy have these small hobby bench vise :) Take care xx

I love your videos! Beautiful and such precise work! Incredible. I'd love to know if you can answer how you used the vise below to hold up your bench pin to saw onto? I love that it raises it up higher so I don't have to arch over to much, kills my broken back agh. Love love the idea of using the vise to hold it up higher just curious if you font mind sharing how to set it up that way? Thanks either way!

Thank you so much! I'm very happy that you enjoyed this video 🙏 And of course, I don't mind sharing at all! I will describe it in detail in my next video with tips, but in the mean time I'll tell you how it's done! :) This bench peg installation is of a simple construction. The metal thingly that pins it to the bench is being held in the vise here. However, if I just left it like this, it would move. So my dad has cut a simple piece of a little wooden plank to fit it underneath for balance and that's it! No additional elements. Like I said, I will show this in detail in my next video, because I'm not sure it makes sense by just describing it with words haha

@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing you're incredible! @@TheArtOfMetalsmithing I bet! You do so much intricate sawing, I can only imagine if you had to slouch over onto a shorter bench pin to do all that work. Oh boy. Yeah. That'd be unbearable! I love your dad helped you out with that as well, and thank you again for sharing ❤ and, beautiful work again! Really, absolutely gorgeous.
