Thank you. I had the same setup, but using a single splitter and ran a USB extension to take the dongle so it was easy to switch in and out. It suddenly stopped working and after testing, the dongle works fine if it's plugged directly into the dongle. I guess it's just bitrot in the extension so I'll buy a dongle with a hub. The K400s are great but they don't let you pair the keyboard with more than one dongle, with is a disappointment.

HI, I have a Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard which I have paired with the Amazon Fire Stick Lite. The problem is, the Fire Stick displays a box of A - Z alphabet letters and numbers. I would prefer to operate all typing etc with only the QWERTY keyboard, just like with a PC. Are there any internal settings which would allow me to switch the 'letters box' off altogether, please? Guide me to the necessary.

Sir, I have a second generation tv fire stick, I formatted it to 0 and in the meantime the remote control was destroyed, now I can't start it. I have seen the video of him in which he works with a PC keyboard. I ask him if I can reset my tv stick and configure it with the pc keyboard as if it was an original remote control?

Hail Sheltech! To check that the keyboard works right on the first screen when turning on the fire tv stick Does the caps lock, scroll lock or num lock light on the keyboard light up normally or not, only from the launcher menu?

I'm on my second Logitech k400+ trying to connect to an Amazon Fire 3rd Generation stick with no luck. I am using the same 3-cord usb hub that you reviewed and can get no response to the keyboard. Is the keyboard not compatible with the 3rd gen Fire? Any help is appreciated.

So as far as pairing, As soon as you power the fire, stick up with the u s b connected, it immediately let's you operate the stick? No pairing process to worry about?

I've read that in order to use such USB devices on the firestick, it is necessary to root the device in order to enable android's native compatibility. Do you have any information about this? As it does not seem like you had to root your firestick to use the keyboard and mouse.

All I did to my firestick was to turn on Developer options for another program I was using. I am not sure if that makes a difference when adding usb devices.

I hate typing into the firestick, make a mistake and all i can do is delete. I cant backspace the cursor just delete previous letter. Do the arrow cursor keys on keyboard work as normal with firestick? If so.....ill be getting a hub.

I think you have to install a 3rd party app to remove the keyboard called null keyboard. But I have not tried this and don't know how it works! Sorry

The adapter that you linked to is different from the one shown: there is no switch to set to OTG, and there are 4 USB ports and no micro USB port. (They do include an adapter.) It does seem to be working with my Logitech K 400 Plus keyboard so far.

I am not familiar with apple keyboard. But if it has a USB dongle or a USB cord it should work either wirelessly or wired.

You should be able to plug the OTG cable it into the micro usb port just like a regular firestick

It doesn't work Charge and OTG at the same time?? Your TV Stick is only using the power from the TV's HDMI output and not from the Power Source???)

You plug the firestick into HDMI and from the OTG you plug into a powersourse like a usb port or the wall outlet.

If it is Bluetooth you can connect it in firestick settings. There is an option for Bluetooth devices

Sadly, none of the adapter types seem to work with the controllers I'd tried. Granted my setup is a bit different, I'm using the Fire Cube (same microusb port)... And my keyboard/mouse are WIRED (not that pseudo-USB / pseudo bluetooth). Has anyone gotten WIRED keyboards to work with fire?

I think it's important for the other viewers to know that the hub MUST be a USB OTG hub. I wasted a fair amount of time trying to get this to work with an ordinary USB hub.
