noobz question. what is this device and what are the keys for. i have a p25 FPP 866 xts 5000. wondering what this thing can do ...?? curious about keys in general😊
The kvl is an expensive keyloader for encryption keys. If you don't have a business license with p25 on the emissions it's not legal for you to use encryption
I have a key load cable for my EFJ 5100s that terminates in an RS232/DB9 serial port. Could that be used with a KVL3000’s serial port at the top to load the EFJ 5100s? Considering a KVL purchase after failing with KFD shield experimentation. Thanks!
@@anongator yep! It’s for sure a key load cable, it’s just the one for the SMA key loader that EFJ offered for awhile and was hoping it would still be usable with the KVL. Part number 023-5000-940. Unfortunately everything with the 5100 series is a little wonky.
What is the difference between the 3000 and the 3000+ series. I thought the 3000 series used batteries from the Visar portable. Made a programming cable for an early Spectra mobile with DES since I could not locate one. Is there a difference between the crypto Hirose adapter between the plain Saber and the Astro P25 Saber or is it the same pin out.
