Color looking a little dull? See how to refresh your color and restore shine right at home using Satin's Semi-base Developer.
1. Gather all of your tools: dye, developer, mixing tools, applicator brush, glove, clips and comb.
2. Brush the hair and section into quadrants.
3. Apply petroleum jelly to the hairline and ears to prevent staining.
4. Mix your dye: 1:2 (1 oz. dye to 2 oz. developer)
5. Take thin subsections and apply color to your back quadrants.
6. Focus on your mid-length and ends, and any other areas that need a color refresh.
7. Be sure each section is fully saturated before moving to the next.
8. Massage the color in to ensure it is fully saturated.
9. Process 20 minutes, then shampoo and condition.
10. Dry and style as usual.
