Good video thank you for the explanation. I have gas, mig and arc welders but haven't yet tried spot welding. This video was helpful in understanding the process, strengths and weaknesses.
I worked around and have been taught basics of stick welding, wich basically keeps me from burning holes in the metal or getting the rod stuck constantly. I am by no means a welder or weld anything other than practice scrap metal. I saw some videos on comparing spot welders and to be honest I drew a blank so what you would ever use one for and it's practical applications I watch your video now I know sometimes videos are longer than others because there's more information you didn't stutter you weren't redundant you weren't annoying you what you were talking about it was a good video
Sweet equipment! Some of your electrical theory at the beginning is incorrect, but awesome job and I'm sure you have brushed up on your electrical since then!
@@moesella3542 I had a use for metal banding that is used to bind pallets of heavy items. I snipped two pieces about one inch long and used that to hold the aluminum pieces together. A very short burst did the trick nicely. Be sure to clamp everything together tightly.
The thing that impressed me the most was that giant ventilation flex tube. So many welding videos ive seen people working in their garages, to even in professional settings, and non of them had proper ventilation, having the fumes float around for many mintues if not hrs.
Are tinted welder glasses needed for one of these spot welders? My manual says to use them, but I noticed you aren't, so unsure what's actually needed.
Omg! That thing is so cute! It would fit in so well with my other metal melting equipment. Does it come in any other colors and what size batteries does it take? Is it safe for children to play with?
