For anyone wondering how to actually start/activate the TENS and EMS process after completing all the settings: Increase the numbers (larger than 0) by pressing the channel 1 and 2 arrow-up buttons to activate the plugged in left and right electrodes/pads. If these two numbers remain at 0, nothing will happen. SLOWLY increase the number on each channel, one at a time. Your ideal tolerance level might be at 4, or lower, or higher. At some point during the treatment, you may feel that you could tolerate a higher level. What you have to do in order to increase each channel is first press the down arrow button, which will lower the intensity by one level. Only then can you press the arrow up button to increase the level to your desired new tolerance level. I guess, this is done for safety so you won't accidentally increase the level and hurt yourself.
Finally found out from another video what is missing from this one. After you set the mA, the clock will flash. WAIT. After a few moments, the pulsation will come on and go back and forth between pulsation and relaxation. This isn't mentioned in this video.
Can you tell me the link or title for the video that helped you? Long story short, I think there is something seriously wrong with the manual & video instructions for this 10 year old TENS unit. Maybe it is the unit itself. I will probably try to get a refund from the company I bought this from.
My guess is that the settings for pulse width or pulse rate are too high . I hope you can figure out how to change the settings. The TENS unit comes with a manual & you can download the instructions.
Once all the settings are done, you must increase the numbers (larger than 0) of the plugged in left and right electrodes/pads. If these two numbers remain at 0, nothing will happen.
