set zoom to use record with rear mics and then you can swivel it so you can see your levels while behind the camera

+garryentropy yes man but it gives a much wider range that way than forward speakers

Thank you. Great to use with my Panasonic Hc--vx981. Been recording with the H2 stand alone and then using software to edit sound. Direct recording like this will same me a lo of time and work. The zoom microphones are working better than my shotgun microphone for high quality concert recordings. You saved me buying another camera with inputs for 48 volt power for higher quality recording as the zoom microphones are excellent.

Have just tonight ordered the Nikon D3300, already have a D80 & 200. Had the D80from new and the 200 I had second hand about 3 months ago...,but needed to have a camera that can do video as well.... Also the extra 14 mega pixel sensor & £ helped sway it Keep up the good work shaun😀

My Lumix ZS200 camera does not have an external mic port. What can I do? I also have a Zoom H2N recorder.

Sorry but it can not connect without a port. You can place the zoom close to the person or you or they wear a lavaliere mic then sync audio when you're editing your film.

Just tested it. Not needed. I just noticed that while filming inside a room the H2 has a lot of residual noise that the camera does not do (Canon EOS 760D).

Hi there, Just tried it with my iPhone and it works. Just like in the vid, connect the line out on the Zoom H2 to the headphone socket in your iPhone. Mine is an old iPhone, in which case you'll need a TRS to TRRS adaptor (two bands on your 3.5mm headphone jack to a three banded headphone jack) as iphone inputs have a mic input as well as the stereo headphones. However, if you have a newer iphone, you'll need the lightning adaptor and connect it that way. Hope that helps!
