How to use an anamorphic lens with Filmic Pro app

In this tutorial, I show you how we use the Kase Film Lens with our iPhone using the Filmic Pro app. Also, we shoot some test footage using the Apple camera that we desqueeze in another video. Filmic Pro is our go to app for filmmaking on the iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Great tutorial! Just bought the Ulanzi lens. Not a big fan of the clip so I’m looking for a case with a 17mm thread just to make things easier.

if you have left the desqueeze preview, so you have distorted 240 on can you further desqueeze the video (and get even wider footage)?

Great video👍🏻 exactly what I needed to know. I tried the moment app with the gold flare anamorphic lens and it won’t let me de squeeze at a higher 4K/48fps. Do you still lose pixels with Filmic pro desqueeze?

I have a Huawei P30 Pro Smartphone, if I buy a ulanzi 1.33x anamorphic lens for it, will I have to get a special case or special adapter so this lens can be put on my Huawei P30 Pro Smartphone, by the way, a great app for video is Super 16, the app developer is Dmitry Shatilov, the colours on this app is mouth watering beautiful.

Hi Dave, I don't know about their products. Ours we sell, KASE, come with a lens clip and U Shaped adapter to place on the phone. www.iographer.com/collections/kase/products/kase-anamorphic-film-lens

That is only a setting to use the lens. You need to have the lens too.

Why would you need to buy a anamorphic Lens for your smartphone as filmic pro does anamorphic video aspect ratio without the need to attach a Lens.

Filmic Pro has a setting to give you the correct aspect ration when using an anamorphic lens. You just need to choose resolution and frame rate.

@@iOgrapherYT thanks ive completed all the settings however in the ratio section i dont know if i should keep it in 16:9 or do i go to the 2:39:1 ? i have the 1.33 x anamorphic adapter on but the actual ratio setting is my only issue.
