you could, but the red stop is harder to visibly line up with the tape lines

@@garradmiller5025 Ah, I see what you're saying. Why can't the red line up with the gold? It probably can, I'd have to look at it again. Its just how it worked out when I set it up the first time.

Adjusting the stop to be more precise than 1/32of an inch.

@@neilfeldpausch7155 Well that's the long screw. I'm talking about the horizontal rod.

@@joeanderson3423 If you loosen the long screw and slide the red stop up, then you can loosen the set screw on the long silver rod and slide to where ever you desire.
