So glad I found this video!!! I've had my instapot for several months & haven't used it yet. I took it out of the box to see what was in there, but felt intimidated about it. I follow a couple of WFPB people who post really easy recipes and am excited to try it out. Your intro video was one of the best I've seen. I'm feeling more confident about it now. Thank you.
Thank you so much, I bought an Instant Pot yesterday and was looking for a video to explain the main features, but the most of the videos still work with the old generation of pot. I have the same like you and I am so happy that I understand now everything. Thank you so much for that video 👍👍👍
I bought a 6 qt insta pot a month or two ago and it is still in the box. Great into and I am less afraid to try. I am doing whole food, plant based and I see a lot of vegan recipes with the insta pot. I think I should have bought the 3 qt since the 6 qt seems big, but most utubers were using the 6 qt. I guess I need to decide on size before I use it. My kitchen is small and 3 qt makes more sense. I hate decisions!
Glad this video helped and I hope you'll stick around and check out some of my whole food vegan recipes! I agree about how hard it is to make those decisions. If I had to pick one, I would go with the 6 qt over the 3 qt even in a small kitchen. I started with a 3 quart and found I couldn't do everything I wanted with it. You can always cook smaller amounts in a larger IP, but you're very limited with the 3 qt. Even though it takes up more space, I find that the 6 quart is well worth it for the added versatility, so I think you'll enjoy it!
Oh no! That's so frustrating! Depending on the size of the pot and how much water is in it, it can take 5 to 15 minutes or so to pressurize. Make sure the pressure release valve is in the "sealing" position, and if you still have trouble, I've called Instant Pot customer service before and they've been very helpful in troubleshooting or even replacing parts if something is not working correctly. Hope that helps!
