That's what I want to know also, because I spend time having it where I want and then go to that screen for it to be reset at the top left 🤷♂️ completely pointless
Yes, girl! I've been getting my cricut set up the past few days and there are so many of these videos and most of them go on and on and aren't clear. There are also a ton out there for outdated software I've had to sift through. This is the first one I watched that exactly showed me what to do quickly and it worked! Thanks!

This video was amazing!!! The negative comments are from a lack common sense. You could provide directions for making a sandwich and there will be people that complain that you didn’t tell them how to take the bread out of the bag. Great video!!!!
When you said 'Make it', your words shifted to the upper left of the grid. How do you keep the words exactly where you put them in reference to the grid in design space and the grid on the mat?
I just figured it. In case anyone else was wondering, after you click 'make it', you can click and drag your design to where you want it on the design mat. Wherever you move it, is exactly where it will end up on your cutting mat.
@@kimkohler9077 The trouble is when in the design space, you can put in values so you know your art is EXACTLY where you want it. You can't get as precise when dragging it. So I found this tutorial, granted it's an older version but it helped me find a way to make it exact. Happy Cricutting!

This video was very helpful for placement of my letters on the mat. My problem arises when I want spaces left for placement of words in a second color. Right now I have 2 mats but I want the words to stay in their correct placement and they are not. Help please! Bev

But how do you get it to stay in the center of the 12x12 paper/mat? I don't want it in the top corner. I want to waste the paper because it's going in a frame. It will not let me do it and I'm so frustrated!!
Ok but it still moves the text to the upper corner. I need it locked where I placed because I don't have available space where it wants to move it. How do I keep it where I wrote it on the vinyl

I have a very specific job to cut with my Cricut Maker. Using an Avery Template (Avery 61582) on Letter size support label, print then cut. I cannot figure out where to put the paper on the Cricut mat (Avery usable space is 7x10" not centered on the Letter page), and how to design in Cricut Design. ANY HELP ?
It's simply ridiculous how simple designs can be so hard to get in to place. I work with many softwares such as Lightburn which is easy to understand. Cricut makes simple things complicated for no reason.
Hi I have an image that fits on a 12x12 sheet I just rotate it 45 degrees. Now with the bata program it lines it up on the side and now it needs a 14 inch piece of material. How can i keep it at 45 degrees thx
How do I get the image in design space to have the open areas where it will cut? The I love you layer, we can see through the open areas. How do I do that? Thanks!
@@Cricut It has made a HUGE difference. I use my cricut to make vinyl masks for sand blasting. By being able to use attach, I can make sure the layout and spacing is correct and there is enough on the edges to tape off. Thank you!
I am trying to attach letters in some words but when using snapmat, I am unable to move the words where I want them because they are ‘attached’. Is there any way to get around this? Unattaching them would allow me to move them in snapmat but then I would have to move every single letter again.
In that case, I would use the weld or the slice commands rather than the attach command. Weld and slice will make the shapes one and will give you the ability to move them. I hope this helps.
