Brother I have a question about L1-B visa My extension is done inside the US now I have extended l-129S and l797 my question is if I went Canada or back to India so do I need go for visa interview or I need to put passport in Dropbox how my visa stems will be done
Sorry brother but this was particularly intended for AVR, however as for your question, if you go back to India - you will need a valid visa to enter back - just your l-129S and/or l797 would not be sufficient. For Canada - its based on I94 - so you can do that without a new visa within 30 days. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer and this is not a legal advice
Hi , your video is so useful. I have doubt . I have expired visa and expired i94 coz I travel recently to my native country with old visa . But I have valid i797 from i94, which I mean bottom of the i797 form
If you have an expired visa and an expired i94 - I would suggest you get your i94 updated from US airport first. Also, i797 is a petition letter which is company's. For L1 cases you have an i129s - which can be used to get your i94 extension filed.

Dude I have some questions, did you get some visa or paperwork for the AVR? (technically they are issuing another visa or the extension of the expired one) and 2 after doing the AVR can you go to other countries diferent than Canada and Mexico. Thanks

Not a legal advice. If your i94 is valid then you can In most cases the border officer would not update your i94. However, you can request and get it updated.

Hi I have one important question to ask: Was your Admit Until Date on your I-94 re-updated to show 05/20/2024 by CBP officers when u used AVR process ? or was that admit until date always there as 05/20/2024? I am asking this because in my case my I-94 admit until date is expired (date is in the past) but my I-797A has a new I-94 end date of Aug 2024. So I am thinking if that is sufficient. Ok so my I came into USA(first time) in 2017 with h4 visa which was valid till 2020. And so I-94. Never stepped out of country since then. I renewed my h4 in 2020. Now it has validation till 2023. My I-94 was expired too in 2020 when the visa expired. Never had a new one since I never stepped out, now if I want a proper I-94, how do I get it with out going out of country?

H1 and H4 are also nonimmigrant visas so that should be covered. Also if you search around you'll find a lot of data points of H visa holders utilizing the same. This all is not a legal advice :)

Can you tell me exactly what the officer has asked you and which port of entry you used to enter the US? Also which I-94 you used, the one on CBP portal or the one attached to I-797 approval or it doesn't matter? Would appreciate your help.
