After a month of watching your videos, over and over again, I painted all the rooms in my son's home. I have never really painted before , with all of your tips and instructions it made a job I was dreading a LOT easier. And I learned if I make a mistake I can paint over it or over again, it's not like the world is going to end. The humor in the videos was also a plus John. Your list of tools needed was also a big help, and yes, the GOOD Purdy brushes make a WORLD of difference!

Something I found that works good is caulking.. Add the tape, then caulk... Paint, then pull off tape and you get a perfect painted line with no bleed

Hi John, i like the videos. keep 'em coming. i have a question about taping and pulling. if i am supposed to apply a few coats of paint and/or primer and paint to cabinets, how am i supposed to pull the tape immediately after applying product? no way i have to tape multiple times for the same job right? i have problems when i pull the tape after a few applications and it rips paint off with it. any tips would be appreciated!

I got stuck with the white tape "in direct sunlight". Man, took me longer to remove the tape than it did the whole paint job, lol.

So when painting near the ceiling, it’s best to freehand it?

I have coffee shakes and I freehanded cut lines in my kitchen. First time painting a room ever! Only two spots where I touched ceiling. It can be done. Hands didn’t shake when I pressed brush against wall.

You use a brush to at the top not touching the ceiling.

I've never used Frog Tape, but based on the online reviews I've read, I suspect it's very similar to blue tape in that it will work well if properly applied and removed, but it's not magic cure for sloppy work.
