Thank you for this ! Not only do I enjoy your commentary, but this has helped me to understand how to mix colors with more confidence ! Here's hoping that the "Great Dixter Gold dust" is sprinkled on my garden next year !
I like to sit down on a Sunday evening and watch your channel with a cup of chamomile tea...so relaxing and beautiful. I especially like it when you fo ro Great Dixter. I love the style of gardening and the riot of colors. I sometimes agonize over color combinations or whether or not to exclude a color. Great Dixter is such a great learning tool and you are great teachers.
Thank you Natalie for such a delightful and positive message, there is so much exuberant inspiration at Great Dixter and we really appreciate you sharing in that joy with us and supporting our channel. Sending our best wishes.
Red is my favourite colour and I use a lot of it in my hanging baskets and containers. It goes so well with purple and yellow. I really like Calabrachoas as well as the full size petunias but they took a battering with last week's weather and are well past their best. Looking forward to planting my tulip bulbs when the time is right and I will use the same colours. It has been super weather here yesterday and today and I hope it's been the same for you too. Perfect weather to be out in the garden.
Hi Wendy, your garden colour choices sound lovely and vibrant and I am glad to hear the weather has improved after last week’s battering. I’ve been making the most of pleasant evenings in the garden after work but all too soon the dusk descends. Happy bulb planting, hopefully in continued autumn sunshine.
In my balcony garden in Germany I'm all about the pinks and purples but I was already considering introducing a lot more red and yellow /orange in our garden in Crete and your video today solidified my thoughts. Thank you!!!
It sounds like the best of both worlds, to have hot garden colours in Crete and romantic colours on the balcony Germany. When we moved here, nature insisted we have brighter colours by spreading orange Welsh poppies around and now we wouldn't be without them!
In the gold colored section what was the beautiful fushia or magenta colored malva looking blooms located close to large orange marigolds The plants looked tall so pretty
