alright so new update, the morons tried to nerf him again to the point he can't put traps under himself, the traps are currently glitched if that's done giving the caustic invincibility
You know what an epic buff to Castic would be? Being able to activate the traps by pressing the ability button, which is H by default. Same button mirage takes control of his drones from
@@JMark514 it could just activate them all at once. being able to choose which one would be nice but in the middle of a fight you might not be able to.
I know this buff might be a little underpowered but it would be great if Caustic had voice lines that teammates can hear when an enemy sets off a trap.
@@ghostbeats3214 Oh no they still do their job. Hardly ever does someone actually decide to try and push through gas. If they do, they almost always die if you’re positioned to hit them. Breaking the traps isn’t practical at all.
The ability Caustic has to have a tactical playstyle with setting up traps around different POIs can have him be used as a recon or legend for information and the only legend that can lock up a building as well as he does. Personal experiences, landing in a tight and compact area with a lot of buildings is best for early game fights, slowing the enemy down and getting easy beams. When I get another heirloom Ill definetly be using his. Great Video!
I used caustic when he first came out won a few matches instantly with him, but I didn't like how slow he was. I am coming back to him and already winning more matches then normal. I love seeing people see me, you can tell they try to shift how they are pushing people or maybe stop pushing all together. Usally messes there flow up alone seeing a caustic.
Yea same when I first got him I couldn’t stand the fp running animation but I learned like in season 1 maybe season 2 that he goes the same speed as everyone else I’ve maimed him ever since
Caustic is by far my best legend, being able to cover your own back with traps and instantly take the upper hand in a close quarters fight with the ult is crazy
I'd like to add, as a caustic main, a great tool when you are fighting a bangalore, throw your traps into their smoke. Ive ran into multiple times where my squad and I are in a building about to get pushed and bangs ability is used and traps have provided perfect squad wipes when they're running through. Nice clips.
yeah, as a Caustic main i love when there is a Bangalore, either an enemy or ally. smoke is the ultimate place to put a trap, i almost feel bad for the people who just run into it innocently... almost.
@@TimProVision Also, great tip on the traps being placed just off the doors. I will have to start trying this out. I usually just trap all doors creating a funnel. I make sure as soon as my squad and i get into a house, i start trapping. Its critical when the ring is small and helps with you getting traps back in end game, with having a great spot to hold if need be.

Now that Cryptos EMP destroys active traps he's become a really solid counter to a bunkered Caustic so that's a legend to look out for. Mad Maggie has some use against a bunkered Caustic to but just as effective as a Fuse would in my eyes.

I started maining him in season 9 and i doubt ill ever stop. I enjoy making people get angry, frustrated. When they start to panic theres nothing better

Solid guide. Caustic was my first main, I don't use him so much anymore but I would recommend to anyone use him!! But think about your play, don't rush with him, litterally be a rat ✌️
Love caustic in ranked got to diamond so far just using him with a friend playing bang. Holding buildings with him makes it a play ground for caustic if someone pushes you

I've been picking up caustin and wattson lately and I've been enjoyingn myself with both of them. It's a change of pace that is happily accepted for me
I feel like the counters of caustic are bloodhounds because they can scan so they don't go into trapped places and I think Mad Maggie because I think she can break the traps with ult. Also I guess caustics counter caustics., and revenants like you said.
gys a caustic maim here, a small tip for players if your bring sniped in a window with no run away escape place it on the ledge of the window, it acts as a window makeshift cover
I face alot of caustics in Arena. I'd say that's where he really excels. I've also seen players use the trap as a grenade, landing it right onto my feet. pretty cheap tactic, but it seems to work sometimes
Both. They are outlined a bit through gas and when they take damage from the traps you can see the damage numbers through walls and it follows them like how it works with thermite grenades
The nerf in the past seasons at first glance seems like a huge deal. But if u play caustic in the right way, these nerds are pretty much unnoticeable. On top of that, given the trap a health is more or less a balanced change instead of a nerf.
As a caustic main since the very first day i can say one thing for sure. He seems like a defensive legend but he is actually the best legend to push and be offensive. Its all about positions and taking advantage of critical situations. And my boi caustic had seen so many nerfs and has be nerfed to the ground nearly making his traps useless. Old apex was so much better when everything was perfect. New legends just look and feel ridiculous
It just proves that for me caustic is my main because on my second match I got kill leader and 8 kills as caustic and didn't need to camp in buildings with gas
i got a little confused for a second why should caustic get the yellow backpack for revives ? like what makes him have better revives than other characters
Caustic is very similar to crypto for me. I love playing both of them, but I feel like they are overkill in pubs, and you need to have a team playing around them.
You guys I'm just saying I did it and it was funny and it was like 10 people they were fighting in Bunker all your ultimate is nice on the outside oh my God the controls their movements remember that but I've been meaning on the mobile melee action while doing caustic I get a few kills per level
Caustic is a recon legend and you'll never be able to tell me otherwise. Place a trap, go away, someone pops it, and you know there's a team there. Recon legend.
I used caustic in gold rank in newly launched Apex Legends mobile . First 3 match of caustic and thrice "kill leader" and i was like WTH ? So, Wraith, byee for some time

A caustic tip I realized today is be careful using traps for cover at a distance an enemy caustic threw a trap to use as distant cover but I managed to use his own trap as cover so he missed his shots and got the kill
