How to use Contact Cement

i'm planning on using weldwood, and the label has a warning about flammability. is it safe to heat shape the foam after the adhesive has cured? i'm doing the majority of the heat shaping before gluing, but might need to do some after. apologies if you've already answered this elsewhere, i've been meaning to watch more of your videos
