This tutorial made so MUCH sense. I had placed my first foil transfer incorrectly, thinking "liner" was the back side of the foil. Knowing something was wrong, I searched for video demos and found yours. Thank you for posting.
I am SO pleased you used an ordinary iron. I have scrimped and saved (+ birthday money) to buy a Cricut Joy. I will have to use my household iron for a couple of years to save to afford a press. Thank you for being so clear!
I have that same foil and have been looking for days and days for a video that covers this particular iron on. I kept looking up metallic and I guess that is where I was going wrong. I just knew that white backing had to go down on the material, just couldn't find someone to show it here on RU-vid. So thank you for actually helping me. Now I can finish my iron on.

Hi! I don’t have the shirt anymore so I can’t check but I just adjusted the logo in Cricut design space to fit my piece of foil. So it’s probably about 11” wide.
Hi! To set the adhesive from the other side but it’s not necessary if you got good adhesion from the top. Or if you have a heat press that will heat the item from both sides.
I’m not sure about a heat press as I don’t own one but I would think the wool setting on there as well. Try with a small test if you can. It’s a cold peel.
My iron doesn’t tell me temperature numbers but I would suggest testing with a small piece of foil on a scrap of the same type of fabric you are using until you find what works with your iron.
