Great video, thanks. I'm using ActiveCampaign with my Wordpress site. I downloaded the AC plugin, hoping it would enable me to add my form globally across my site, rather than one post at a time. There's GOT to be a way to do that. Can anyone advise me please? Thanks!
Hey Max Can you please let me know if you can put a field into a form to "add Notes" to a contact? I can't seem to find any information on this one so don't believe it exists. Also one other question about your video, if you have multiple downloads available on your website should I set up multiple download fields or a checkbox field with all the download names that can be ticked if the contact downloads multiple things? Thought I would ask the master as your videos are brilliant! Thanks in advance
Hi Max. Thanks for the great video. can you please explain how to retrieve form results? for example I want the request a quote form data so i can save it to my CRM
Hey Max, thanks for this tutorial. It's super helpful. Since you made this video a few years back, Active Campaign has changed some of their functionalities within the platform. I cannot no longer find 'source' and 'download' in the form as you illustrated at 19:30. Can you show me how I can this done in the current setting of ActiveCampaign?
This is great Max. So with the hidden source field. What if I have numerous sources ? Like Instagram how do I show the difference on the same form? Will I have to put more than one source field?
Hi Max. Thanks for the videos. I have been using the method you show at the 16:20ish point for adding data to fields when using the 'link' option. Is there a way to do something similar with the 'simple embed' code? it has a link with src="url", but I can't figure out the proper formatting to use to pre-fill the fields. I have a custom field with dropdown choices, and want to prefill them when a new user comes to a page with an embedded form. Use case is that I give away a set of downloads, and I want to have the same form pop up on each download page, but with the specific download indicated in that field. That way I can change the form as needed without needing to update every page if I use separate forms for each download. Thanks
So helpful!!!! Thank you so much! I have a question though, I may have missed it but my active campaign form pop up shows up on desktop just fine but it won’t show up on mobile?
Hey Christopher! You can do both, I personally like custom fields better because I can add it dynamically to forms with hidden fields, and can also use it to personalize my emails with conditional content based on that custom field.
Hi Max! You're my Active Campaign guru haha. I've a question. Christmas season is approaching and I want to create a suggestion box form. I don't see that AC gives the option. Do you know how? Or should I create a special landing for this? Thank you and have a great day!
Hey Mar! Cool idea 🙃 You could either use a simple form, or you could use a plugin like SuperForms to create forms with the ActiveCampaign ID as a hidden field in case you already know who's filling out the form 🙂
Very nice video! Just one question: where can I find the css code to modify the submit button and the padding? Is there a link or can you write it down? Thank you!
Hey Martina! Thanks! 🙌 When you go the Custom CSS under Style, you can find an inspector that you can use to find the name of the element to modify it. The buttons are usually; ._submit { } So if you want to add some padding, you would do it like this: ._submit { padding: 15px !important; } Hope that helps! 😄
@@maxvcollenburg Thank you Max. I found the inspector button, and under ._submit { I can modify the width but it doesn't work with the font size, font weight and the font family. I don't know why! May I ask you to write down the code you used on your video? Thanks again! And by the way, thanks to your video I went from an unattractive AC form to a simple attractive one!
Max thank you so much for your help! I have a question about how to change the opacity of the forms background? I have tried a few different methods and can't seem to figure it out. I would love it if you had any helpful tips on this. Thanks!
Hey Chris! I don't know that, sorry! Isn't it easier to make the background the same color as the one on your website so it doesn't have to be transparent?
@@maxvcollenburg In creating Floating Bar, Floating Box and Modal Forms .. initially you have to set a Website URL where your form will appear before you can edit/customize the form. I'd like to ask if you can change that initially set Website URL link even after integrating the form?
Max, Great Video! Thanks for the value! Quick question...you seem to be able to customize the url of your download page using word press. If I use Weebly (or a similar service), I'm not sure I can customize the url of a page to that level. Do you have any insight on that, by chance?
Hey Max, I added custom fields for UTM parameters, but I didn't choose "hidden". But what I did was in the source code replaced input "text" as "hidden". It still shows in the form. I've even removed the labels from the code. Any advise on how to hide the custom fields if I haven't chosen "hidden" in active campaign? Do you also know how to delete custom fields that are already created in AC? Thanks in advance
I think you could create a hidden field called "gclid" - if they landed on the same page as where the form is, it should automatically populate. If the form is on a different page, you need to store the gclid as a cookie somehow and then insert it with a script. Slightly techy if you're not familiar with code, but should take a programmer not longer than 10 minutes.
Great videos. The part about populating fields via links, does that only apply to hidden fields. It just shows "page error" when I try it on a normal field?
Hey Jlelliottsdk! I think it should work on every kind of field. Just be sure to start the query string with a question mark, then the name of the parameter, and then the value: ?name=value&name2=value2
This is super helpful! Definitely saves me tons of time. I have a question regarding the Open Url after people submit the form though.. Do you always create different "Thank you" page on WordPress for different downloads?
Hey Rae! Happy to hear that it's helpful! 😄 To answer your question: I have one 'welcome page' which gets personalized based on the download they requested. It's a bit techy, but I have a tool that looks at the parameters in the URL. If the parameter is 'download=checklist' it will change the title to something like "Your checklist will be there in 5 minutes" 🙂 But creating different pages works too! You could create a 'checklist' page for all your checklists, a 'cheat sheet' page for all your cheat sheet. I hope that helps!
Not that I know of. The easiest way is probably to capture email addresses in Facebook Messenger: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nJ9LHroYd_Y.html Hope that helps!
¡Wow! i waste more than 2 week looking for this information thanks. Can you help me to know if I made my forms with Elementor and integrate the API for Active campaign. Its is possible add the hidden field download in the a Elementor forms
Hi there, I was looking at your video and I also want to create a form using activecampaign but my problem is I cannot find the form tab on my end. do you have any idea why I am not seeing it?
You will need a custom script that stores the source as a cookie, and then push it into a hidden custom field whenever there is an ActiveCampaign form on the page.
Here you go! Keep in mind that you'll have to change the class for the inputs. You can find those by using the inspector 🙃 ._form { padding: 0px !important; } ._submit { width: 100%; font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold; font-family: Open Sans !important; } ._x73471005 input { text-align: center; padding: 13px } ._x74731372 input { text-align: center; padding: 13px }
Maybe you have explained this and I didn't get it (sorry if this is the case!). Is there a way to let a contact update its data and possibly add info? I'm getting name + email in my opt-in form. I know it's best to keep it minimal at this stage but there are a couple more info I would love to know that would actually help me give my contacts better content. Is it possible?
Hey Micaela! Depends a bit on what kind of info you would like to add. Would you like to ask open ended questions or a simple multiple-choice survey? I really like to use RightMessage for short segmentation surveys, and SuperForms for longer surveys. Then, I sync the submission to ActiveCampaign so that everything is in their profile. It's also possible to use ActiveCampaign forms, but then people would have to enter their email address again (which I'm not a fan of). Hope that helps you into the right direction!
Max in the field Source is that data transferred automatically from RU-vid, google etc? I understand how to get the hidden field onto the form just unsure how the form recognizes the source of the subscriber. Great video.
Hey Martin! Good question! You'll have to add a parameter that has the same name as the hidden field to the URL that you share on RU-vid/Google/Facebook. That way it will be populated. I hope that makes sense 🙃
@@maxvcollenburg hey I finally figured it out. I just make sure all inbound links to my optinpage include ?Source=(MyURL)&Download=(Lead Magnet Name). Since I'm sending people to the optin page via links in blogposts, I just add source url after the target url being: ?Source= . That way I can track which page or post got them to my optinpage page. And it populates in the Contact Field inside AC just fine. Thanks again!
What happens if you have other downloads and you are using the same form? I tried this and the field value in the contact doesn't change to the other download item; only keeps the first download.
You can't use the direct link of your optin page. Only allow clickable inbound links to the optin page and in the url after your optin page url add this: ?Download=NAMEOFYOURLEADMAGNETDOWNLOAD. This way the form will pick it up, add it in the Download Hidden Field and in the Automation make a conditional content block if Hidden Field 'Download" is NAMEOFYOURLEADMAGNETDOWNLOAD then it will send the correct link in the email. That way we can use one form for many download lead magnets! Great job Max!
Hey Marcos! I think it depends a bit on how you style your form, but I didn't have any problems responsiveness during my tests. Did you any had specific issues with certain elements?
Hey Max! Such a good job! I was able to learn from you the things that I'm trying to do with my form. Thank you so much for your help! :-) Btw, I've went through your funnel, however, I don't know if it's with ActiveCampaign but when I've tried downloading your lead magnets they all went through trackcmp.net/ which always says "This site can’t be reached... The webpage at trackcmp.net/redir?actid=798892511&url=aHR0... might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_ADDRESS_INVALID" Why's that Max? So unfortunately I wasn't able to get any of your lead magnet :-(
Hey Jaw! Oh no! That's not good 😅 Did you have this with one email only? Or with multiple emails? I just checked the emails, and the links seemed to be allright. If you reply to the email, I'll send you a copy of the automation 🙂
