That's a very useful discussion. This matter will come up in any marriage, and likely plenty of times. When it comes to possible arguments, I will let my wife clearly know where the line is. I will tell her when the discussion is over, I've heard what she has to say in detail, and I've made the decision. If she keeps pushing an argument, I will give a warning. If she continues much past that, or is clearly being disrespectful, she gets spanked. I haven't had to do it often for that reason, and it helps to let a wife know where the line is, and give a warning when she is moving past it. It keeps any verbal conflict to a minimum, and keeps discussions from getting out of hand as well. Discipline truly helps with marital harmony.

One of the best ways to avoid arguments is to set clear expectations and back those up with consequences, your wife is very lucky that you hold those firm boundaries for her.
