Draw shots with English coming off a rail is one of my favorite shots to do.. great video bro.

These videos with highlighted situations are great - really help me to see how to get "from here to there" on the table. Also, identify great drills for draw - sort of a combo of shot and strategy training. Thank you.

It will become more and more common as you move up in rank. About 50% of my draw shots have some kind of side spin to them if I am coming off of a rail.

So nice to put the cue ball anywhere you want it to go. All this can be used to recover from poor position and break clusters as well. Put that cue ball to work! Thanks Brian!

I've fell in LOVE with using low left or low right on balls close to the rail just this year. The reaction off the rail is great and....... it also checks the cut induced throw, and straightens those shots so they hug tight right down the rail!

Absolutely LOVE it! To be consistent, practice is essential - learning/knowing what you want to do .... but the "effort" required is key; you HAVE to learn your ability. All of this is ONLY if you want to improve your game. The more you "practice with intent", the more you learn about yourself and the game!!! Another great video B!!! Be Safe

One of my favorite draw shots is extremely hard but it's when you have to draw to side rail to bottom rail inside English and draw to come 3 rails out of the corner. Its actually my warm up shot. When I'm hitting 4 or 5 times in a roll I'm in stroke

I Appreciate all the helpful pool tips you put out, are you a Pro or do you play in any pool leagues? I was just wondering what your level was if you're in a league, I know it would have to be a 7 I guess that's the highest they go isn't it! Thanks again

I play mostly cash games and one event per year, which is the super billiard expo in the Philadelphia area. I played a little APA about 12 years ago and yes I was a seven in 8 ball and nine in 9 ball but I’m not allowed to play APA today because they classify me as a professional, because all of my income comes from teaching pool, playing pool, pool videos, books, sponsors, etc.. There’s also not enough time in my schedule for leagues. If I did, I would play BCA FXBilliards LLC is a full time business. I do 25-30 lessons per week ( live and over zoom. ) produce online video programs and of course the RU-vid videos. Oh yea, I have a family too. Thanks for watching.

Good stuff as always. You have helped me so much! For first time ever, I got 4 compliments on my break last night. The cue stays on the table every break, it goes to basically center table every time. I've been focusing on my stroke, where and how I'm hitting the cue. All the balls scatter around the table. I wasn't thinking about or trying to pocket balls on the break and pocketed balls 3 out of 5 breaks last night! My speed control on following shots needs major work tho. I have trouble knowing how hard to shoot or when to shoot harder but I'll get there. Thank You My Friend!!

@@FXBilliards just found out why in practice I do great and when tournaments start not so much. They switch the cue ball from the 6 ounce bar ball to 7.5 ounce regulation ball and don't tell anyone. A buddy just told me this. That's shitty

Great lesson Bryan I have to try these I always hesitate using side spin on draw shots. I draw pretty well and tend to stay center axis but they are clever shots to have in your game.

@seamusmcfadden994
@seamusmcfadden994 Год назад
For beginners, I think it's great to use a striped ball and show (by hand) how the spin affect the ball off of the rail. Especially when drawing back to a rail. It's kind of an opposite way of thinking for most people. For example, lefthand English spins off the rail to the right to the right when drawing back.

I'm so confused about this, I need to think twice 😅 I always tend to think the ball will bounce to the same side as it would with follow + english 😅 when it's the opposite. I don't know why I always vizualizeze it wrong if I do it quickly. I need to concentrate and very slowly visualize the entire action in order to properly see the correct english for draw shots, even though it is as simple as: drawing with english is the opposite of following with english (when I say "simple" I'm only speaking about realizing what is the direction the ball will spin when touching the rail, not about making the shot)
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Год назад
Put in your reps and it will become easy. Always imagine the ball spinning before you shoot. This will help you put the correct english on it. BTW yours is a common problem. Thanks for watching.
@irwansyahpasay
@irwansyahpasay Год назад
Thank you. Btw, this needs lots of practice, english is not easy, cause the cue ball will not exactly move in straight direction 🙂
@irwansyahpasay
@irwansyahpasay Год назад
is the solution using soft tip ? sorry amateur question 😀
@beercanbrian1880
@beercanbrian1880 Год назад
@@irwansyahpasay Not really. The solution is your stroke. I have two cues. Meucci with a Kamui clear soft tip and a Sneaky Pete with a Le Pro hard tip. Draw equally as well with either tip. I would probably steer a beginnerish type player towards a soft tip. Probably more forgiving for the learning player. As you advance and become a more advanced player, tip hardness becomes more of a personal thing meaning hit and feel that you're comfortable with.
@FXBilliards
@FXBilliards Год назад
Beercan Brian did a pretty good job answering this question - It wont make much difference until you become a higher ranked player. Until then you will not notice the difference and the hard and medium tip will last longer.
