Even though this is your first video, this is the best presentation of this particular lunchbox on RU-vid. PLEASE! We need more recipes!! I'm a truck driver and am so sick of truck stop food. Can you branch out into more traditional American meals/recipes? Would love to see that! Thank you!
Beef stew in the bottom (use bouillon instead of the curry and any veggies you like) and a fruit cobbler dessert in the smaller top pan made with frozen fruit and crescent roll dough or a frozen biscuit.
1 can mixed veggies, some cream of chicken soup, kicken chicken grilling spice by Webber, little chicken broth, and a few fluffy biscuits from whatever brand u like ( I get the small pack so it's easier to use up. Rice in the middle and vegis like asparagus and bell pepper sliced on top. U will be earring way better
I bought the exact model MONTHS back and wasn't sure how to go about it since I've only seen vids with the smaller version. Thank you so much for this vid. Now I feel more confident to try it out!
I hope you can start making more of these videos! Electric lunch boxes are taking off. People like me have one and bave no idea how to cook in one and your video is excellent!! Please please do more!
Bradley Hitchcock thank you for your kindness. I’ve been thinking about it. It’s kind of tough with everybody home all the time. Very strange being quarantined. I hope you are healthy and safe.
Very helpful with the 18 minutes of cooking time per cup of water. No one tells you that. Also soothing because there’s no background Music thank you!!!
My favorite Itake lunch is Thai Red Curry Chicken with Jasmine rice! I'm a teacher so I simply start my Itake during my planning period and about an hour later I have a perfectly cooked lunch that is just as good as take-away Thai food! I make mine extra spicy!
I like your video! A lot of people show themselves and not what they are doing so we miss that part. Thanks so much! I've been debating on getting one of these!
Thanks for taking the time to post and explain the lunchbox. Just got one and the directions weren't clear at all, I got a lot more from your video than the manufacturer's website. I did some rice for lunch and rewarmed some stir fry, came out good, just needs spices. I hope you do more recipes and share.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful video. Just ordered my electric lunch box and waiting to receive it so can make nice meals on my holiday break away. Wish you could share more recipes 🙏🏾. Lovely tutorial 👍🏽
I just bought an almost identical lunchbox, and the manual is competely useless (plus auto-translated), so I really appreciate this video to get started.
Oh my goodness I know like everyone’s said it but thank you! It’s so hard to find recipes for this with direction! If you ever figure out how to do ramen pleeeaaassseee post!!
I love this so much! I just got one...but won't be able to use it for a while! Thank you for sharing! I hope you will do more videos! (You're wonderful!)
Thank you for a great video! You explained it very well. I'm trying to figure out which type of little cooker to get. This kind or the one where you can actually stir fry in it. More like using an oven. Very good video! Thanks again!
I love it and how you did a little demonstration of how you would pack to office. I just got mine its a little shorter without the upper extension part.
. Excellent video if you don't mention it I wouldn't thought it was your first venture you are a born winner. Thanks and please keep them coming. Do you plan to buy the new Itaki Chefbox Smart Bento PRO 2.0 ?
Just bought one of these and after watching your video, I think I'll need to practice a few recipes before bringing it to work. Seems a little tricky finding other things to cook alongside the rice and getting those cooking times to all line up.
That looks good. I just ordered a smaller version of an electric lunchbox the other day, but I can see me cooking this in it... I would just have to make some adjustments in how I do that.
Thank you for showing your cooking and how to use the device. Your details are helpful. Is this Itaki brand? good quality? do you recommend it? Thanks and have a great time.
I bought mine in April and it finally arrived yesterday and I'm attempting to cook stuff now and idk if I'm doing it right but we shall see lol. I have the Itaki Jumbo.
TheRamonesFreak it does take a bit of practice. But I think most cooking is a bit of trial and error. It’s a fun contraption. I have made a lovely beef and potato type soup (or maybe it was a stew) in it. I might do a video of that next. I love that I can wall away from it while it cooks all by itself.
Looks good! Next time try adding 2-4 Tablespoons Coconut Milk in your curry. Adjust from there. My coworkers go crazy when they smell it. The coconut is very yummy and I'm not big on coconut milk.
For rice, I usually do 1:1 or 1:2 using same measuring device, whatever method of cooking. I tried using the itaki first time today, and cooked the rice on bottom bin and worked faster than expected. Cooked the rice thoroughly within 30 min. I have the 1 layer itaki pro, not the double layer bin. I think the double would require more time and water, maybe?
Do you have to add the middle layer? Or can you use it like the pro without the middle layer? I am trying to decide whether or not to buy the pro or the jumbo😊
sodium is a bit much for my taste. I use the same lunch box, I like the hot golden curry paste, it’s already spicy btw since you mentioned you liked spice. May want to give it a try. Your review was very informative & appreciated. You should check out daboki on here. He has a lot of recipes on his channel.
Best first video ever. I was actually searching for a rice cooker only but this one would be a solution. Do you suppose one could leave the mid section part out to make it a mini?
Yes. In fact, I rarely use all three layers. I usually do a little meat and veg in the bottom and a little scoop of rice in the little part that fits over the bottom bowl.
mtb_d4n I use them to take my food from home to work without spilling anything into my car. They aren’t very water-proof which is why I add water to my food for cooking after I arrive. But they’re great for keeping whatever food I’m traveling with from escaping. I don’t think they’re for cooking with. I personally do not use them for that.
@@My2Deities @My2Deities well I can see why the lunchbox is more popular as it's lower maintenance and you basically just put in whatever you want to cook and let it do its own thing. For me personally I love soups and ramen, and the Shabuki Pot just cooks those things so much faster it takes like a min to go full boil or to stir fry things, it's kind of no different from a stove, except you could carry it around to your desk or travel. I'd personally use the lunchbox if I was in an office but since I work remotely most of the time I prefer the Shabuki Pot. I'm hungry and want things fast :)
Charles G thank you so much for sharing. I am wanting to find something for my 7 & 8 year old who enjoy cooking but I don’t always want to supervise at the stove since they have to stand on chairs. I am looking for something that will give them more freedom. Thank you so much for your imput
Great! One question: Can the silicone/plastic cap be used for cooking, or it is just for storing food? That cap have no toxic materials and soport high temperatures? Thank you
any ello I remove the lids while cooking. I truly do not know if they are non-toxic. I’m sorry. I’m not an official representative just somebody that enjoys the product.
Thank u at least we've got an English version, i just bought one today but everything in Chinese. So one question you keep adding water if it dries out.
I have that same cooking lunch box but I didn't get a bag. Do you know how I can get a bag, I would love to have it to put my cooking lunchbox in for travel.
Does it cook without the third layer in the middle? In other words, does the top part still latch on the bottom? Trying to decide between the regular and jumbo.
your mom yes, the top latches to the bottom. I use it without the middle part more often than I do with it. The bottom two bowls hold a surprisingly large amount of food.
i bought the same color 20 century itaki will destroy all rice cookers for one. i love this itake I bought two , Curry is just as good as any cury out there. I will wait for the mini fryer because I cook for myself, go Cory
Do you put the whole food-filled contraption in the fridge at work prior to lunch? I would guess you don't want chicken sitting out for 4 hours or whatever amount of time you wait till lunch?
the year is 2020 and finally technology has created great cookers where you can cook and clean your appliance with no effort. this was no available 10 let alone 5 years ago. for sngle or two persons ( i do not and will not deep fry) you may live longer eating with this appliance.. my mum cooked liked this. steam broiled and stir fry. mum never marianate her recipe. I am from a resturant family my pops owned two eateries
How long will this stay warm after its done cooking? i work in construction and only get a 30 min break with no access to a fridge but i'm tired of eating sandwiches.
