I just want Eiscue content. Give more Eiscue content! Or don't if you don't want to it's your choice, and you'll probably make better content if you actually wanna make it.
Just in case anyone is looking for a specific one! 2:47 - 💧Waporeon💧 8:46 - 🔥Flareon🔥 12:49 - ⚡️Jolteon⚡️ 17:49 - 🌀Espeon🌀 22:55 - 👁🗨Umbreon👁🗨 27:37 - 🍃Leafeon🍃 30:10 - ❄️Glaceon ❄️ 32:16 - 🌸Sylveon🌸
For those wondering, he chooses detect over protect because less people choose detect. This prevents Pokémon with protect using imprison and blocking protect. Imo it’s a bit niche, but it may come into play more often in doubles
"Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions." Eevee's Pokedex entry from Shield. Something that I think would greatly help the eeveelutions would be to give them a random coverage move from another type in its line to cover for type disadvantages. For example, Jolteon getting Scald, or Flareon getting Leaf Blade. Giving Eevee's "unstable genetic makeup" they could definitely make it fit into the lore. Edit: I realize some do (Espeon getting Shadow Ball), but I think they could expand on it more.
jolteon has 2 viable normal moves, thunder bolt (duh) and shadow ball which doesnt really cover anything. Then you gotta mess with hidden power and the last viable move is like volt switch
I’m not hating on the idea, but for some reason this sort of attacking coverage is limited to Espeon, Umbreon(who is not meant to be used as an attacker), and Sylveon. I could definitely see something like Jolteon getting Magical Leaf or Scald, Flareon getting Leaf Blade or Ice Shard, and Glaceon getting... maybe also Magical Leaf? Leafeon is kind of lost on me, idk maybe they could get the Fangs or Aqua Tail
In the sacred gold/storm silver ROM hacks (and probably others by Drayano), the Eeveelutions have slightly more varied learnsets that are kind of similar to what you'rr describing. iirc, Leafeon gets Psycho Cut, Glaceon gets Earth Power, and Espeon gets Power Gem
@@WolfeyVGC this is not a face. I am scarred for life. I expect a formal apology wideo directed at me on your channel for the trauma you have put me through, Mr wideo man
if you run espeon you gotta run ally switch, imagine you lead espeon + partner and your opponent leads torkoal +venusaur, you ally switch and bounce back the sleep powder aimed at espeon's partner, maybe even into the opponent's torkoal
I would like to say that your WIDEOS really makes me smile. I’m a social worker and work with victims of child abuse and your content just puts a smile on my face and makes me laugh despite all that I work with. Thank you for all you do. :)
Favorite thing about eevee is nuzlocke runs. Majority of times it’s it ends up useful, and it’s fun finding out what evolution will work best. (Though admittedly it’s almost always either umbreon or sylveon.)
My flareon named Memory turned out to be the last survivor in the team when I underestimated the opponent and refused to level up. I thought he was going to die from salamense, but flareon literally tore him up in one move. Because Memory can't die. I will definitely always remember this Pokemon, no matter how many nyzlockes I go through.
I really think that vaporeon can have a niche in competitive, when paired with an intimidate user, it is very hard to kill phisically, but I personally think a surf vaporeon alongside water absorb gigantamax lapras is it's most usefull strat, with protect scald (or ice beam) (or helping hand) surf and wish, it can become quite annoying to kill and with it's excellent hp, wish can heal a lot on another pokemon after a switch, which is likely to be under aurora veil. But maybe you can figure out something else, but I'd like to at least share my idea.
@@NoobGamer-ik4ed Both do the same thing, only thing is that one is more common and the other isn't, imprison may be a threat but you rarely see it on mid to high ladder, it's your choice. Also I was too lazy to get a parent with detect and wish
Only a real youtubist could provide entertaining and super educational commentary about eeveelutions for 35 straight minutes WITHOUT STOPPING. Wolfeon’s youtubist skills need some recognition.
0:00 Awesome Intro and context 2:48 Vaporeon 8:45 Flareon 12:18 Jolteon 17:50 Espeon 22:55 Umbreon 27:35 Leafeon 30:09 Glaceon 32:15 Sylveon 34:20 Ending Thank you Wolfe for making this wideo! :) I'm a newcomer to your channel and not in VGC, but your content still appeals to me. Your video on how you got to #1 with Leafon never fails to soothe me and I put it on when I can't sleep.
It seems good in Nat Dex OU,could run like Specs or something in singles in rain with Rising Voltage\ Thunder, Weather Ball, Volt Switch and Shadow Ball or something (mainly cuz many rain teams run Tapu Koko)
Hey wolfey, don't know if you'll see this, but i found you through zero's collab with you and I just want to say I love the content and you have gotten me back into Pokemon after 5 years!!
I would absolutely love to see some more of these for most pokemon. Imo, 5 minutes could be enough to cover the main set you'd go with on a certain pokemon. I really like to use lesser used pokemon. For example, I'm using a Krookodile+Urshifu dark combo. Dynamax Krookodile, attack it with Urshifu which has a move with a 100% Crit chance, proc Anger point and do some serious damage.
While I prefer single player, this stuff actually helps me consider things for Single Play. One of the things I love to do is mess around with themes - something that can be difficult when you use the Eeveelutions
So you're not going to show everyone the most optimal high tier vaporeon set? You know, the "celebration timer stall set that you won worlds or something with" set?
Awesome guide! One Pokémon that I had been looking at building around was Dunsparce. Sure it can do paraflinch, but it also learns a bunch of the new tutor moves. I was trying out a set with scale shot and dual wingbeat, to try to raise speed and then flinch with headbutt from there, but haven't had much success at all.
I love when you make viable sets for underappreciated mons! My favorite pokemon is Tsareena so im always trying to make her work in the current meta, I would love to see a vid where you critique and make viable sets for someones fav pokemon (even if its not the best for VGC at face value) My Tsareena currently is Tsareena @ Grassy Seed Ability: Queenly Majesty Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def Adamant Nature - Grassy Glide - Triple Axel - Protect - Acrobatics
2:15 "The movepool and stats leave a lot to be desired" >110 base speed >same spatk as gengar, only 5 lower than alakazam >gets 4 good coverage moves >--a great waifu- >gets good support moves yeah ok
Wolfey: Sylveon gets pixilate so you can run hyper voice and get a spread fairy move Dazzling Gleam: Am I a joke to you? PS I know hyper voice has higher base damage
Here from Jaiden's collab video. Watched a few other videos of yours before this one and the different varieties of "Real youtubers" theme songs is hilarious. This one's my fav so far :,,,D
i think it would be super interesting to have a video breaking down when stats are “bad” and “good” for every stat. as you said, 85 is awkward, but where does speed become “average” and “fast” and “absurd?” i’m guessing these ranges are different for each stat and it would be very interesting to learn how to “read” a pokemons stats to see how it works!
I have to work on breeding one since I currently have a couple of 6 IV eevees from catching the promoted raid and the let's go Eevee save data gift eevee. Only issue is I think they're both male :/ Good thing I have a 6 IV ditto to breed with... But dang.
I used to run Espeon with Weakness Police and a fast ally with fling throwing him a Petaya Berry, it was fun since a +3sp.atk usually start sweeping, but with alakazam there's no reason to use Espeon anymore. I definitely would love to see more content like this :)
Love this content, I have run into so many pokemon that I enjoy but never really know how to use them so something like this is perfect. 9th gym does a very similar thing but mostly with competatively viable pokemon so taking a look at less viable things would be a bunch of fun.
NEVER change the intro style! Even when you have millions of subs and dollars 💞 it has so much soul 🤩 oh yeah and Flareon is the most huggable eeveelution 🔥 Flareon needs justice!!!!
Maybe a wideo that describes more in depth the process of making a team, and what roles for pokemon there are in VGC. If there's videos out there that go very in depth, my apologies. I know the lecture videos help w/ that, but I am so new that I am unsure of many roles except for.. like sweepers, trick room runners, etc. A video that helped me learn a lot was your commentary on Se Jun winning worlds with pachirisu. Thanks for all the wideos !!!
Technically Espeon was my first eeveelution bc I messed up trying to get Umbreon by one frickin minute, but leafeon was my second eeveelution, my second lv 100, and my first max happiness mon
I really wish that Wolfey does the same video for S/V after the Eevee event. I would really love to know what he thinks about the terra types. Or maybe some Eeveelutions become more playable :)
Me just waiting for a new wideo. Also, I love the Leafeon team. I just started getting into competitive and managed to get to Ultra Ball Tier with just that team.
Just out of curiosity. I built a Vaporeon like Acid Armor Rain Dance Rest Scald Damp Stone for held item Hydration for the ability Pair it up with another water type (maybe water/ground) I think its actually really potent
when the intro comes back and your day is made, your acne is cleared, you lost all the weight you wanted to, and you are officially an A-list celebrity
