Brian, that is one of the best how-to-use videos I've seen. The new browser took me a minute to learn; I can't imagine not having it, especially with all the latest instruments available. My confusion was creating a multi-instrument. When loading the first instrument, the instrument header showed the snapshot view, and it didn't occur to me to click the Info button to set my multi-instrument outputs.

I must have tried over a dozen tutorials, but every time I listened for a few minutes, the voice or the presentation was simply not helpful in retaining the information. Thank you for taking the time to present yours at a nice pace with the right tone of presentation while educating without ever being boring. I'm already looking for more content from you. Cheers.

Brian , I have been refusing to use so many great things that Kontakt ( In various forms ) has because I just didn't understand the higher levels of use, and I did try hard. This instruction vid must have taken lots of thought and I am very grateful for the work you guys put into it. There are so many vids, tripping over themselves, to explain how to land a spaceship in Kontakt ... you have made this flight engineer (read songwriter) so much more confident, I may be able to write a best seller LOL Very big thanks again

This was incredible! Thank you! I just recently bought Komplete Collectors Edition because I had a free version and I really liked the instruments I had and I wanted to get the other plugins like Ozone 10. I was having an issue when I got onto to play around with it, I had 2 different Kontakts in my folder I had Kontakt and Kontakt 7. When I loaded up Kontakt 7 I was only able to play the samples I didn't know how to navigate around but now I'm so excited to have found this video, it helped and made me feel dumb lol. Also I had no idea you could half of what was in this video, well worth the $900 I spent.

Very good tutorial. I thought I know how to use it but I get very useful information especially the multi output routing for a single instrument, I did not even know this is possible.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't understand why you guys didn't thought of the simple possibility to group libraries. If I have 6 library of symphony essentials or pianos, why can't we create simple "group" library to prevent having 6 showing ?

These tutorials are very helpful, thank you! I was hoping you'd touch on customising NI and non-NI device midi knobs, sliders and buttons to connect to instrument controls, and saving those MIDI settings for easy re-use or even default use with specific instruments/banks/multis.

Tha Best Kontakt tutorial I've seen so far...

Routing to different tracks is so frustrating in Kontakt 7. In Kontakt 5, all 16 of my outputs appear. Now that I've upgraded to Kontakt 7, it only shows two stereo channels and I cannot fix it. So annoying.

I'm running my first instance of the Kontakt 7 plugin in Logic. The interface looks very different from what Brian shows here. No "main control panel" at top left. I'm feeling my way and can kind of guess where things are, and the video is helpful for that, but I'm feeling a major case of Lost In Translation.

I love the new browser window in Kontakt 7, it's like having Komplete Kontrol inside Kontakt. Speaking of Komplete Kontrol, still waiting for NI to update all their plugins to include VST2 to VST3 migration since the 2.8 update. Is this in the pipeline??

One question: I'm at the min 33 of your video but I have a big problem: when I try to insert multiple libraries/ instruemnts in the rack space it loaded only one at time , for example I load a piano, after I click to a orchestral preset and it throws away the piano and give me only the orchestra. Only one in the rack space... why? Can you please help me? Do you have any idea of what's is going on in my Knontact 7 ? Thank you so much!

I need help, I think I missed a step. I installed Kontakt 7 Player in Native Instruments, as well as a couple of libraries. But those libraries aren't showing up in the browser, even after I point the browser right to the content folder. What am I missing?

Nice, thank you! Is it possible to replace a loaded Kontakt instrument by double clicking another instrument in the browser? As it is right now, the browser is useful for stacking instruments only and not for loading and trying different ones.

Alot of what is shown here either doesn't exist or doesn't work in version 7.10.5. Adding multi instruments doesn't work with the pin, you have to click on empty space in the rack. There is no tab to switch to older view. Would be nice to have an updated video which reflects the current version.

Why does my Contact 7 interface look different from yours? I don't have the control panel along the top . I don't have the ("gear" icon , "workspace" icon button,) Can someone please help me figure out why?

Hi there. Great lesson. I appreciate that you made it and I will return to this video to lock in my understanding of the updates to Kontakt. I love the new library layout and it's features but I kept instinctively wanting the old library layout back for the workflow I got used to over the years. It's great that I can switch between the two layouts as I ween myself off the old layout and get onto the new one.

Hi Brian. I am very grateful for this tutorial. You are carefully going over each aspect of Kontakt and I feel I am getting an excellent foundation. I have a question: I just imported a library, into my User Presets, and the folder I added is clearly labeled "Klang." However, after import, Kontakt 7 entitled it "Kontakt," but all the Klang instruments are there. I would like to change this to the correct name. Is there a way to do this? If not, is there a way to prevent this? I thought to remove the library and try again but the Remove button is grayed out as well. Thanks.

Great Video BUT!!! do you have a video where you use Kontakt 7 in the DAW and what affect that has on the S88 keyboard, ie. changes the colors to match the screen piano colors of individual keys. Tks

I just bought Konkakt 7, but when I go native access, it says (open) instead of install. I want to run it through my DAW and not as a standalone. Any ideas, please?

Hi Brian, Excellent video thank you! I have a problem on my Kontakt 7. I bought the Bundle Crossgrade of Kontakt 7 but the interface looks slightly different. After Kontakt I don't have the symbols, it shows only File, Library and View. Any help? Thank you so much

Thanks for this video. Are there complications loading a few libraries on the main Harddrive just to get started , and then moving them to a second external drive at a later time?

A hint regarding flickering ui in Kontakt 7 for Cubase: enable HiDPI, then the UI looks much better. But then Komplete Kontrol, FM8, Maschine, Battery might be in to small windows. Also the purge functionality should be explained, to reduce used RAM. Regarding Kontakt 7.8 for loading multiple instruments, it is not possible to easily load instruments and adding (it is replacing by default -> why?).
