Most helpful format ever, explaining what each knob does and let us hear, is what they should all do. A lot of time you get confused not knowing what the knobs do
I have used FLEX since BETA. as a newbie(9 months in) I wished I had it before I spend a ton of money on stuff I cant use yet. This is nice and manageable for beginners and ANYONE can make clean sounds with it. Beginners need the help with finding clean sounds. These dont really even need EQ. :-) I have made 2 songs already with FLEX
You can create you own sound already with a billion other vsts including harmor for ex, this is a different instrument for a different use. Limitations are where creativity is. Remember that well
The part where you explained how the cut off frequencies work under the master control section was very helpful and with how you showed the stock EQ example along with it that made a perfect visual I would like to know when you apply the filter does it show in the different visual part of Flexus aka flex do it show the filter cut off responses I'll try n see for myself also thanks again for the grate tutorial or break down of this plugin keep up the grate work much appreciated 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Buc KTOWNZ there’s no visual on flex but if you’re interested in learning a bit more about synths and sound design you should consider getting serum if you don’t have it already. It gives you a visual of literally everything. Shows you exactly how filters look, lfos, waveshapes, wavetables, etc. and then you can just transfer that to any other synth for the most part
I apologize I should have explained what I meant by visual I meant that wav form view in flex the part where you change the sound you have loaded when you use the filter cut off well it show a response in that window in flex again I apologize for not explaining my question still thanks for the advice about serum much appreciated
That basically taught me close to nothing about how to actually use the sounds in the plugin. I can´t even play the sounds after watching this tutorial, as I don´t yet know how to do that. When I make tutorials on stuff, I go in depth.
FLEX looks well designed and easy to use - I've not upgraded yet so hopefully I'll get a chance to try it out at the weekend. As for whether this is what we need....not sure. I can't get really excited about a preset synth - and I am probably not going to rush to buy every commercial expansion pack - I'd rather spend my money on other stuff. So I don't want to be negative but possibly it's not for me, unless a really large free collection of presets becomes available...or Image line give us a preset builder...?
Giddy Aunt I think many people will agree with you. Ultimately I think it’s a good move from image-line, but I personally think they need to give us a lot more different types of presets (which I’m sure they will) for more producers of all genres to be happy with it. I will say FL studio has a lot of really great stock synths already and no rompler yet so flex kind of fills the void.

On one hand there's an implied unhappiness with the fact its a preset synth. Then you want presets that conform to genres. This is just a tool, it makes sounds, you can layer, effect and mangle them beyond recognition. Open your mind, just a little. All sounds are good sounds for any genre. That's how you make unique and interesting music, by breaking rules but subtly.
Boundary Condition what I mean is it’s pretty hard to turn a supersaw into a bell sound. Right now I don’t think there’s a wide enough range of sounds to make all producers of all genres happy with the synth. That’s all I meant.
I dont get it. How are people making sound back for FLEX when you cannot make sounds from scratch? Is there a secret editor where only chosen few has access to?
