As a very early digital pro photographer and designer (print ads & web), this is awesome. Just began using it for a landscape refresh project DH & I are working on before the hellish desert summer heat arrives. Perfect for showing him where all the components go (as he does the heavy stuff) that we're repurposing: many large planters we've had for decades, moving key groupings to new, better positions. Also great so I can keep track of what I'm planning (so many places to refresh in our yard), how each piece will relate to others around and nearby and what we might need to buy (like lots of potting soil, lol) or some plants we'll need to plant in pots for accents. Have no pencil compatible iPad yet so restricting this project to using the shapes only but so many and it seems to work really nicely, very intuitive to plan for each area with various shapes and colors. Thank you so much for the tutorial, really great. Now if I can just figure out why some of my duplicated simple shapes show "+" signs yet other duplicated shapes do not, I'll just about have Freeform whipped (dupes bc design repeats groups of 3-5 different styles/colors planters for cohesive look). Love learning great new tools like this one & your tut was fabulous help.
Thank you! Very clear, very useful instructions. Freeform has many uses, but you”ve got yo know the basics. Now I think I can use it without any frustrations.
2:34 Hi there @ DHTV Could you (or anyone watching) please tell me how to get the options that you have in the bottom right of screen in this part of the video at 2:34 (Back, keyboard, mic & the arrow - I don’t know what that straight left pointing arrow on the right of the 4 options does) Many thanks 🙏 Kindly, Earthlyone 😊
Now that is really good and certainly worth having , very good indeed! Here’s-one that I have told people about and no one has said, oh yeah I know that! Books it comes as standard and if you want to save a article or instruction manual or recipe, anything, click square with arrow at top and save to books, it puts the whole thing in Books and you can create files so whatever turns your clock, you have it a Like a pdf book there at the touch of! I like this though, it’s like a scaled down Procreate but I think on a broader usage spectrum. DG 72 years old
Thank you for the excellent tutorial! On a totally different note (please excuse the slightly personal nature of it…): do you ever write or have you ever written in cursive? I couldn’t help but notice that you write in print only, and I’m curious about younger generations of Americans who’ve not been taught cursive in school. Thank you in advance and again, please excuse the unrelated nature of my question.
Thanks so glad I could help! Actually I am from Canada. We were taught cursive and I do know how to write cursive. However it is just easier for me to print.
Thanks, sorry for the speed I’m trying to get the videos in a fashion that meets everyone’s needs. Sometimes I get comments that I dragged on or went to slow. Hard to figure out what is best.
@christineschloss7217 You can always slow down (or speed up) the video on RU-vid using the RU-vid video speed (located in the settings cog, top right of screen under ‘Playback Speed) and then pause at parts as you try them out in Freeform (I use split screen to do this). Hope this helps you. Great tutorial thank you very much 👍
Very informative. How do I get the grid to show measurement unit like matrix or English system so I can tell if I drew a circle, what is the diameter of that circle. Thanks so much.
I can’t seem to get the round corner edit to come up on iPad version. I see the round corner option and turn it on but don’t see any way to adjust the corners. Thanks
I started using Freeform immediately to take notes for a course I am taking. Using shapes and photos to hold ideas and it is fun for me to learn this way.
