While this does explain very well how it works, it does not exactly explain what it is. For me personally, that is the bigger issue. It's a helpful video either way!

I guess you found out by now, but anyhow :) 1. This should be standrad procedure you create a functionname(x) and if you call the function with a function handle the x is the function handle within your function functionname 2. The Matlab function integral takes integral(fun,xmin,xmax) with fun being a function handle. In this example, FUN is the function handle created in line 24 through the custom function fun2
