For people like me and my husband that do not like wasting our time, Disney Genie + is a wonderful tool. Now I do hate obsessing over when is my next lightning lane selection and being on my phone so much. Even in Epcot I have saved hours of my time on the “slow season”. Now is it needed for people who don’t mind waiting, not really. Thanks for another great video DFB!
I used Genie+ at Epcot. Epcot was our first park day. I was able to practice all those Genie + tips I learned in advance. I was much more comfortable using Genie+ in MK and HS. Luckily, I could buy Genie+ in advance of my trip for only $15/day for 2 people. I also utilized the extra options of Genie+ to justify the price tag.
When the virtual queue will be gone, we will buy individual lightning lane for Guardians. We arrive from the sky liner, so we enter by International gateway. There’s no way we’re gonna walk to Guardians and lose precious rope drop time. Last summer, we ride Ratatouille, frozen, ate snacks at Kringle and ride test track in about an hour…
Thanks for this! We are considering park hopping between Hollywood Studios and Epcot and will buy Genie Plus for the day and then head back to Epcot the following day (reservation at Space 220) and not get Genie Plus that day.
One thing not talked about lightning lane that we ran into was , if we had booked one for only Some members of our party (i dont ride roller coasters) the time at the top it said we could book again was for me only NOT for all members and it confused me more than once. 😢
Hey AJ! I'm wondering for my upcoming Disney trip if I can have two virtual queues at the same time. For example, I want to start my day at HS and park hop to Epcot at 2 and get guardians if it's still available, then take the monerail to MK right after, scan in, and get Tron. Can I do that? Or can I only have one virtual queue reserved at a time? Thanks!!!
You can do two, but you have to be in the park to book it unless it’s after 2. And the only time after 2 that comes up is for people doing the extra night hours at deluxe hotels
I love your videos! And am planning a vacation for my 26th bday in 2024, but my friend is egg free gluten free and dairy free, so any advice/a full video on allergy friendly menus at Disney would be great! Thanks!
I've been planning a trip with a vegetarian and from what I gathered, sit down restaurants have the most allergy friendly options. Avoid eating at places that serve food "family style" unless you want to eat the same limited menu that your friend will be eating. Also, "snacks with character" is the Disney brand of snacks for those with allergies so if you want something prepackaged, go with that. Also, it doesn't hurt to ask a cast member about allergens or for an allergy free menu.
They had said on a prior video sometime next year it’ll be changing to let you do it prior to the trip instead of the day of. Not all details are out yet
Unless Test Track or Frozen Ever After are on your must do list without a 70+ minute line. I didn’t use it last weekend and didn’t wait longer than 30 minutes.
I'm sorry, Disney has become too complicated, for us!! Such a shame, because I love it there. But alas, I have become too old to stay glued to my phone, on a vacation. I'll take a cruise, instead. Not a Disney cruise!!
Ok, so i cant do anything about the cost fo genie plus and those visitors for whom money is no object and can max out on any ways to beat the lines. However... from my experience at disney on this system and the previous one, a huge amount of people still turn up without doing their research, their plans and also having any idea on how to use the systems available. And let me tell you, by prepping youre knowledge about all that stuff, its going to put you ahead of half the crowd thats there! Unfortunately for most of the year, disney world isnt the place for you to rely/enjoy a bit of vacation spontaneity.
The more people that use Genie+ the more money it cost and the longer stand by lines become. The old fast pass system was worth using. It was free, easy to use and had more ride availability. We don’t buy Genie+, it’s a shameful cash grab that causes more of an inconvenience. We just wait for low crowd seasons or stand in longer lines in protest. We also don’t go to Disney as much anymore. It’s lost the Disney magic.
Love the lad that's paid the even more extortionate money to visit from the UK and walks around with a sports direct plastic carrier bag. Bloody hell mate, it ain't benidorm
What a joke. I suggest AJ shut this channel down and focus on Universal. After 30 years as a Floridian with APs many of those years… I…am…DONE with them.
@@Wobbox Universal is opening a new park. Disney takes 5 years to open a new ride. Disney will always be popular, but all excitement revolves around Universsl.
