You're welcome, thanks for commenting! Yeah 32gb should be enough for most sims - unless you want to do very deepstacked stuff like 60bb+ and lots of bet sizes pre and post. Otherwise you should be fine.
It's not perfect, but if you can work out the average stack (in chips, not BBs) on your table and you know many chips are in the tournament (entrants * starting stack) then you can divide the total chips by the average stack and that should give you the number of players left. The best way to plan for running these spots is to screenshot the table and lobby at the time of the hand.
hi gareth, you mentioned being able use a tool to get the payouts for tournaments on sharkscope but didn't specify what that was, could you name that tool?
Hey, completely new to monte carlo mode, been using HRC before. I started putting some bounty spots in and saw that the results for monte carlo mode and enumerated were quite different. Why is that so? Do you use enumerated at all anymore? Thank you!
@@MTTPokerSchool hey thanks for answering! what if the spot is pure preflop? Just a shortstacked shove spot? I noticed results are different for those hands when I run enumerated and when I do it with monte carlo mode.
It's rare that a spot will just be push/fold because it would require everyone to have sub 8bb, and even then you might see some minraising as well as jamming. The different results may come from card removal?
@@MTTPokerSchool Yeah, card removal makes sense for the difference. What I meant was sometimes I just like to see if a jam or call was +ev, not solve the entire spot, and with enumerated I used to get quick results for that. Thank you very much for answering question and subquestion, appreciate it!
Gareth, do u know how to download ggpoker hand with the prize pay jump and I can copy it to hrc, I downloaded the hand history but don’t have the prize pay jump😢
Heya just bought this program and video really helped,i have a question,so when u are analyzing as advanced hand and are putting in the payouts and players left, how do u know how many players were left at that time if u are looking back to the tournament in HM2 or PT4??
I always take a screenshot of the table and the lobby of any spot I want to run so I know how many players are left. If you don't have that info, then you need to find the average stack on your table and the number of chips in play (starting stack x number of entrants) and work it out that way. So if 500,000 chips in play and 10,000 average stack, then 50 players left.
Great tutorial. Thanks Gareth. I know that the original HRC was not good for using to range what we can call non-jam RFI with, but how much does the beta postflop engine affect RFI ranges? Would be great if you could show the comparisons of an exact same spot to show the differences in both calls vs RFI and RFI... Thanks again
What is the program that gives you the stats in lower left corner of PS screenshot with RNG and different bet sizes ? Also, thanks for this tutorial - very helpful to the community.
Do u have hrc pro? I assume so as its almost impossible to have more than one geo size without the tree becoming too large. Do i need to upgrade to get more accurate results?
bro when i click on mote carlo hands it doesnt show all the information like it does on your screen only shows for stack sizes and thats it how do i get all the option you have i.e selecting pko's and adding in bounties?
@@MTTPokerSchool mine just says holdem resource calculator at the top. Nothing about pro or anything and i actually purchased it so not sure maybe I can send you a video to an email or something?
