At least you know what this device is for and are using it accordingly. There's was another RU-vidr that kept calling it a tablet, was confused why it was so thick for a tablet, and thought the light sensor was a covered up camera. It was painful. I look forward to more videos from you about your use cases and experience of the Echo hub. It's also nice to have UK tech RU-vidr so at least in know I can find the stuff on sale here.
Add the into a swipe card with whatever else you want to show and it hides it and automatically enables it. Got some old echos setup as frigate cctv viewers now. Also worth putting DND on as well.
Thank you for the guide, I tried on my echo show 8 and still goes back to Home Screen and need to call it again and login… if there’s any settings to keep it on let me know
Found it, the webcard needs to be in the dashboard that we want to stay open… I created a dashboard just for the Echo included the webcard with the link you shared and it stays on 👍 thank you
Hi, does the screen still go to sleep with script running? I am thinking of running home assistant on the echo 15. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance
@husondiy Thanks for the reply how do you find running home assistant on the show 15, would you recommend it. I really like the look of it, but functionality is also important for me. Thanks again
So just to confirm I run Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi, and browse to that on the Echo Show devices. It works great on the Silk browser on both devices. Really responsive etc. Let me know if you have any further questions
Is there a way to hide or lock the amazon silk URL bar from showing up every time I scroll back up on the page? I would like to lock the screen to only show the HA dashboard if possible.
