can you please help me? everything I see so far is about opening an account on my mobile phone. I am new to Instagram and want to open my account ON MY COMPUTER!!! Is that a problem? I followed instructions but for some reason my profile picture that I uploaded time and again is not appearing in that small circle!!! I tried various different photos and always the same: no error message, but no show. all the trouble shooting is for mobiles. not desktop. so i'm finding no solutions! I DO NOT own a smart phone. Do you know what I should do? thank you so much!!!

You can also not put your link on the bio place for a url because it is wihited out.

i've always used IG on my laptop, but it recently switched to a mobile format and will no longer open as a page.

I originally opened my IG account on my phone but want the same account on my computer, as well. I would like to manage (mostly add pictures) to my account while on my computer. When I open my IG account on the computer it says the IG app is installed already, so when I click on install it gives me a drop down that is greyed out with my phone listed, my computer is not listed and so no option to add my computer so can't add any photo's. Is there a way to correct this? Thanks

This is a clear and very good video THANK YOU. Can you or anyone help, the last few days i cant upload photos on my desktop IG page, it says. "FAIL TO POST, RETRY ", which i tried, but it just wont work. Ive tried various pics, either with or without writing, but it wont work. My internet is strong. ANY IDEAS PLEASE. While searching for hashtags, I am only able to see the top posts of a particular hashtag and NOT the recent posts which I would prefer. The recent button isn't available yet, right?

You should see a few "top posts" at the top of the hashtag results page. After a few rows, it moves to "most recent"

Hi. Thanks for mentioning the compass icon for the desktop. While using my desktop: 1. the bottom portion of a comment is clipped off and I can't figure out how to scroll to see the rest. 2, the number of comments is listed but I cannot figure out how to see all of them. 3. clicking on 'view replies' does not show always show all of the replies. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks for your video

That's weird. If you click on the "Instagram" logo in the top corner of the screen, that should get you back to your home feed though.

here's a tip, you can edit pictures on Pixlr X or Pixlr E, then upload them to IG using Inspect mode on Google Chrome and ta da you successfully uploading a pic to your IG wall/story however it sucks that in 2020, *YOU STILL CAN'T UPLOAD VIDEOS TO EITHER IG STORY OR YOUR WALL (on desktop)* !
