Just got my iPhone 13 mini today and don’t really mind having a smaller phone plus i wont be dropping it all the time like i did my iPhone 8+. This is the first time ive bought an iphone the same year it came out and now i feel so cool! Lol
Update. I have purchased the mini 13 today. Saw a lot of videos and took a leap of faith. Honestly im having mixed feelings. One hand i miss the bigger screen of my 8 plus and on the other hand the phone feels so beautiful and compact. I guess i will wait for the 14 next year and switch back to the larger screen.
It’s 5.5” on 8 Plus against 5.4” on 13 Mini, however it feels smaller on 13 Mini maybe due to smaller case size and mini is 30% lighter. I’ve switched from 8 plus, still owning both of them.
I switched to the "13 mini" from an "iPhone 7" and the screen size is the same because it's Edge to Edge without the Home Button; from side to side and top to bottom.
I am coming from a 7 plus and this is exactly my concern because I want to go for 13 mini so badly! I like the larger screen of 7 plus as I feel it’s more comfortable for heavy tasks. Does the 13 mini feel too compact for typing, editing..basically content-driven tasks?
@@gayatri9438 yes it does feel little cramped while typing honestly after 5 days i feel like the mini is growing over me. I suggest you visit a store and use the phone in your Hand for a few minutes. I’m using swipe on the keyboard btw. For multimedia the screen is quite small but i personally don’t mind as i have a 6 yr old iPad mini and prefer watching bedtime videos on it. May be you should consider the normal iPhone 13. The phone is an awesome piece of hardware though. ❤️
Apple is selling iPhone 13 in Europe without mmWave technology for the same price or more than the US version. Despite Italy already having 5G mmWave (Where I bought my one). Other EU countries are following shortly as well, yet Apple is not selling this for the EU IP13 products.
going from the 8 to the 13 mini and i find it so crazy how the size of the mini is smaller but the screen takes up the entire face so it’s actually a bigger screen anddd it’s lighter idk i love it so far and the thicker edges remind me of the og iphones lmao
@@Erin-mp5jh The 13 mini has such a good battery. I use it over the day (most for social media) and I have round about 50% battery at 9 pm. I unplug it at 6:30am and charge it at 11pm.
@@Erin-mp5jh it’s weird bc it’s smaller than the 8 but the screen is bigger… at first i straight up didn’t like it but as i’ve had time to get used to the different button placements it’s better. however, i accidentally take screenshots and shut the screen off all the time… super annoying. and i do not like the face recognition. finger print home button will always be the best. my phone rarely ever opens with my face so i literally am about to turn off the passcode bc having to enter a 6 digit code every time is extremely infuriating especially when u get a number wrong
I may be too late, but tbh, I'm obsessed with the iPhone 13 Mini right now. lol. I'm currently using the Redmi Note 7 and I've had it for almost 4yrs now, and I'm having issues with it so I'm planning to buy iPhone 13 Mini. Good call? or bad call?
I recently got the iPhone 13 mini about two weeks ago. I upgraded from the iPhone 7 Plus; 32GB (2016) The iPhone 13 mini is a huge upgrade and I am very grateful to have more storage, a WAY better camera, the ability to not have a home button and more amazing qualities. I am not posting this comment to brag, but to share my experience. Most of my friends, and peers get the brand new phone every year. Just know that even if you have a “old phone” some people don’t even have a phone.
I upgraded to the 13 mini from a 7 Plus also and am enjoying having a smaller phone again. I hate how large phones have gotten now, my hand hurts after holding them for long periods and they don't fit in pockets well. But it's funny how the mini is even called a mini when it's actually normal sized and would have been considered large compared to the 3/4/5 iPhones. I miss those smaller phones.
I upgraded from the same, but prefer the os And the button instead of swiping swiping swiping till one gets the proper screen. Bring back the home button.
@@captnemo75 I prefer a mechanical button or tactile feedback button too, but I am getting used to the half up swipe thing. I don't think Apple really listens to their customers, because if they did then they would never have gotten rid of the earbud port. I prefer wired earbuds because wireless buds always run out of battery at the worst time and because the rechargeable batteries can't be replaced, they have a very limited life, and replacements are insanely expensive.
@@Resist4 Agree, especially about them not listening to their customers. They do a lot of new and improved, probably new employees with no innovative ideas just want to make a mark by putting their signature just something and they take a good system and ruin it. Havent used itunes for many years now due to horrible improvements. what ever happenef to the KISS principle?
@@captnemo75 yep iTunes is so difficult to use now. When something works they need to leave it alone. Unfortunately their consumer target are kids with short attention spans, so things need to be changed up frequently to keep them interested. Sucks for more mature brains.
Preordered & received my iPhone 13 Mini. Am coming from a 6s so, yeah, it was time. Held onto the 6s because the phones were getting too big. Thanks for this tutorial. Will look up your more in-depth ones now.
I upgraded to my 13 mini from my brick of a 13 Pro. The pro was too big and insanely heavy and made my hands sore. I am beyond happy with my 13 mini. Apple should have given the minis a little more time to catch on before canceling them.
Still on the 5SE from a few years back. Never went for the larger phones, as it was a pain to keep in my back pocket. Didn’t get the 12 mini, but apparently the 13 mini may be the last of the mini line, so about to upgrade to the 13 mini. It’s been a long few years!
@@LynxoneYT unfortunately, all rumors are pointing to there not being an iphone 14 mini. sounds like it will be iphone 14, iphone 14 max, iphone 14 pro, and iphone 14 pro max
I was a little scared at first when I opened the mini and compared it to my iPhone 7, the size of the phone is smaller but the screen is bigger. Very comfortable to navigate with one hand. It takes me back to the iPhone 4 days!
@@user-eo9to7wd2t I love it! I have a slim otterbox on it so it would give the phone a little bit of bulkiness, so it almost feels like my 7 again. Took me a minute to find the perfect case to use, but I finally found it!! The case was pricey, but well worth it.
I am an Apple fan but I just don’t understand why they can’t add touch id to the side or back of the phone. To make things worse they already have the technology on the ipad.
I switched from Pixel 4a to the 13 mini and I love it. Very underrated phone since they are making new phones bigger every year, phones feel more like a mini tablet now. If you already have a small laptop, I don't think it's that necessary to have such big phone (I have a surface pro 8). The mini is small easy to carry around but not too small. Love it in my hand which allows me to use the phone with 1 hand only. Also, it's very comfortable to put it in my pocket. The battery lasts me all day with casual use and light gaming.
Hi ! I had a pixel 4a and i just bought a 13 mini which is gonna be shipping in a few days :) How is the battery life ? I have like 3 - 4 hours of screen time (no gaming), what % of battery should i expect at the end of the day with this use ? Thanks!
@@rodrigocalderaro8792 Explain this to me because android is the king of multitasking. I'm moving iPhone 13 Pro from Samsung but I've never had to close my apps on Samsung. On the contrary, I had two running at the same time..
Just got the 13 mini, had 8 before and had 11 for few months but I traded the 11 in for this... I love how small it is, like it’s not that much bigger than my old iPhone 5 and even kinda looks similar LOL. So far I love it so much it’s lighter and smaller than the 8 but has an amazing camera and battery. Highly recommend it!
This is my first iPhone ever and I can say I really love how small it is. I really want to know the cool things that I can do with iPhones that I couldn’t with Google/Samsung
Thanks for making this informative video. I’m making the switch from being a 7-year Samsung Galaxy S-series user to an iPhone user, and after watching several videos reviewing the iPhone 13 Mini I decided to buy one. It’ll be delivered this Wednesday. I’ve been an iPad user since 2016 and a MacBook user since 2011, so I’m not a complete newbie to Apple products, but I know there will be a little bit of a learning curve transitioning from Samsung to iPhone. So a video like yours is really helpful.
Got my iPhone 13 mini three days ago and I absolutely love it the phone doesn’t even feel small anymore to me feels just right gunna keep this phone for a long time
I upgraded from samsung m20 to 13 mini. It was a huge upgrade in memory, processing camera and what not. The mini size is just perfect for me. Sad this lineup is gonna close now. 13 mini was the best iphone for sure.
I switched from 11 pro max to that one, but with 256gb.... the trade in from ATT was = to the cost of the phone... no brainer! I just had to pay sales tax.
my favorite iphone is the 4s.. i had 2nd thoughts switching from bigger phones to the 13mini coz i might regret it and miss the bigger screen of my 11 promax. but on dec8, i switched from 11 pro max 256 to 13mini 128.. i love it! bye bye heavy bulky phones! it is so handy! my hands does not hurt anymore..
No charger included. I think i'll pass on apple. Penny pinching every way they can...They got sued for this in brazil. They should be sued for this in America as well.
I have the iPhone mini 13 & I love it, the combination of the iPhone mini 13 & the iPad mini 6 is close to perfection, lightweight & totally niche portable devices, the iPhone mini 13 is for making & receiving calls, sending & receiving texts & messages, taking great photos, come off it no one is going to watch RU-vid or Netflix on the iPhone mini that’s what iPad mini 6 is for, & it does it so well.
Wow, that was a great overview! I just got my 13 mini, and this was very helpful. I upgraded from a 1st gen iphone SE, because I prefer the ease and portability of the smaller phones. Really impressed with the processor speed, display, and features of the 13 mini. Thanks for putting this informative video together.
I want to buy the 13 mini but this would be my reeeaaaallly first iphone so I'm kind of nervous how to use and what if i won't get use to it. I always used android system and phones.
@@Nersencrime2 Wow! I think since 2009? I don't even remember. But I got a Galaxy before that and someone stole it and that's how I ended up with an iPhone and it was huge difference .
I’ve been using 12pro since it came out but the size and weight always bugged me. Just switched to 13mini and have damn nearly forgotten about my 12pro. For power I’m ok with giving it a 30min boost at 20W and then also have a MagSafe battery pack should the need arise.
Thank you so much. You have allowed me to learn more on how to use my Iphone mini 13 than any other site I have been to on RU-vid. Really great learning to use information. Thanks again.
Hi, I loved your video, it’s great. Very informative and I learned a lot. But the one thing I am definitely also trying to figure out is how do I get the flashlight and the camera symbols off of the lock screen? This is not a feature I like and I would refer it if I could get rid of it. Thank you for any help.
I’m getting mine today, had the 5se since it came out, still looks like new, always protected within a leather case and screen protector, so it will go back into its original box with all untouched accessories, and placed on the shelf with all the previous iPhones and iPods I’ve owned, they may be worth something to my grand daughter when she grows up, along with other vintage electronics I’ve collected over the many years, and this 13 mini will eventually join the collection, and probably my last phone.
@@robertonjr10 Yeah big change in form factor, but the mini has good upgrades so I am happy with the swap. Loving the size, love the compactness when I put the wallet on the back. The only thing I miss from the Max is the battery, however, I am EASILY getting a full day out of the Mini. Loving it. Cheers.
I used to rock an iPhone SE back in the day. I’m glad I came back to apple with my 13 mini. I’ll have to move on eventually and find another premium compact phone
Hello Harris... good morning...i am planning to buy the iphone 13 mini...but quite sceptical about the issues around the battery backup...and I am planning to use it for atleast 4-5 yrs.... kindly throw some of your inputs... thank you
Are you satisfied with the color of the photo? Because I don't like the automatic hdr correction. I want a more natural picture. Like the cameras of the x, xr, xs or earlier series
@@darbybluish Honestly the camera quality is good other then that I’m satisfied with it tbh n yeah the hdr thing is kind of annoying maybe apple can fix it or edit it later in the future or something
just got my 13 mini today and i love it so far. it's really similar in size to my last phone (6s) and it's definitely a lot nicer looking and faster! i had a couple problems at the beginning but i got all of those solved. sadly, the workers at the store i went to left a little speck of dirt on the screen before putting on the screen protector and they didn't fix it because there was 2 mins till closing:(
@@icequeen2778 to me it feels pretty much the same, maybe even a little bit lighter. the size is almost identical. not much differences with the looks other than the camera.
Good video. Just one note is that you jumped quickly about how to do a screen shot at 2:02, which I use to track my finances instead of creating a full PDF every time. I actually found out how to do it when I was in a chat session with a Sprint Tech that was helping me set up my phone and I wanted to show him something about my Wi-Fi connection but I had no clue of how to make a screen shot since the old way I was use to was with the Home button. The tech told me that while holding the Power/Function button on the right side of the phone, press the UP Volume button on the left side, then you get the same screen to crop, label and save the shot to photos. I found out that you have to make a quicker movement than before to get the function to work. After learning this feature, I figured out on my on that holding the Power/Function button and the DOWN Volume button brings up the Power Off screen.
Watch the 13 mini sell better because of the rumors of discontinuation, and then watch Apple drop a 14s or 15 mini to entice us again. We who like the mini aren’t the suckers who would flush away money on an “upgrade” each year when Apple lags behind Samsung in hardware and doesn’t make enough upgrades to justify upgrading more than about once each 4 years due to what one gets for the money and the longevity of Apple computers but how they intentionally make them obsolete with their software updates.
1) “Apple lags behind Samsung on hardware”: the 13 has the fastest chip in the smartphones market right now; Oled screen; One of the best cameras among smartphones; Best use of RAM. Facts. 2) “… make them obsolete with software updates”. I had an iPhone SE first gen (2016) until last month. Still supporting the last iOS (15), smooth, no problems. Samsung: update your $ 1000 phone every 2 or 3 years, or you’re left behind with software updates. Oh and good luck in the long journey to find the right update for your Android version. Question: do you even have an iPhone?
@@MrGilRoland these are obvious facts. My point is Apple could be do much more and do it in a pocket-sized format, but since Jobs’ death, they care about nothing but their bottom line. The SE was the best iPhone ever, Jobs’ last pet project before he died. It was my favorite phone by far. No, I don’t have an iPhone. I just hope for a 14s or 15 mini like most users of Android tablet “phones” (with better cameras at the [most-oversized] top of the line). Of course I am dictating this on an iPhone. It’s just frustrating that tech has become like the U.S. political system: no meaningful alternatives to Apple vs. Google (who makes Android and is at the root of its software issues). It’s the ole’ South Park’s douche vs. turd. 💩
Will be looking forward to my first i phone - an i phone 13 after being a android user. Your video was very informative and will make adapting to this phone so much easier. Thank you.
Thank you for a great tutorial video! I am new to iPhone so the 13 mini is my first Apple Phone and it is the best phone I have used to date! Thank you for showing us how to slow or speed up video play back on the mini as I will use this function a lot. Thank you again for this video as it is very helpful for me.
suddenly switching from android to my first iPhone 13 mini was big leap for me and will have to get used to it - and very complex phone for its size so many things it can do - but confusing
Just got one, and it's a switch from android, so this video is very helpful, and I'm glad you also go through basic things like the buttons and swipes.
Hello everybody I just got my iPhone 13 mini Saturday and I got it from the best cell phone company in the world props to T-Mobile so I’m sticking my small phones for the rest of my life are used to have big phones I traded in my iPhone 13 Pro for the iPhone 13 mini and I love it it’s the best decision I’ve made down the road when I have to retire this mini beautiful phone I’m gonna stick with the SE series whatever number like SE for SE five SE six or whatever it is I’m gonna go with it because they have a small footprint to and a good price under 500 bucks roughly under 1000 for sure so that’s all that’s what I’m going to do an Plaza trade in your old phone to so that helps big-time
Thanks Apple, increase the price of the phones and not giving us a charger or earbuds then claim it's to protect the environment. If that was true then you also wouldn't include that Apple sticker, that I always throw away! Swiping up and hold, gives no Taptic feedback at all, not sure where you got that it does. Why would anyone want to use a Magsafe for home charging when it's not efficient and slow. Is it really that hard to just plug in the phone for charging? Overall I learned a few things about my 13 mini that I didn't know.
Such an informative video! I'm planning on getting an iPhone for Christmas and I want to know the basics about them, I have watched a few videos about Iphone basics and this was has been the best so far. I was really interested in what you had to say and didn't have the urge to click off of the video, thank you!
I still having my iPhone 5s haha .. which I know super old one... and think change to 13 mini.. so basically my iPhone 5s adapter . I won’t be able to use it again...
Hello, I want to order a 13 mini, although I currently have a regular 12 with 64 gigabytes in use, I am thinking of upgrading to 128 gigabytes. 13 mini is a better processor and compatibility, and the most important thing is that it keeps the battery +- the same, that's right, my friend ?
I just got the 13 mini to replace my iPhone 7. I love the size and it is actually bigger than the iPhone 7 screen and comes with all the latest features.
Phone & tablet size has disproportionately risen lately when they were always originally intended to be small, the iPhone mini 13 & the iPad mini 6 are the perfect combination of fully functioning lightweight powerful products in a compact portable format, expensive yes but totally unique & niche.
I told myself I wouldn't upgrade my XR until they got rid of the notch but when I found out they may be eliminating the mini lineup, I went ahead and upgraded and I'm so happy I did. I love the 13 mini. I have a great powerful phone that can fit in my tiny Asian hands. XD
I’m coming from a 6s. Noticed 12/13 have “eSIM”. I put my carrier physical SIM card in and it shows two if the same line. Which am I supposed to use? I noticed one of them is being seen by friends as green text messages instead of blue (iPhone to iPhone).
When I first started setting up my phone it gave me 2 choices, "Primary" and "Travel". It's a good that you are asking which one to choose because I selected both and the Carrier Network wouldn't function. If this will be your phone for Every Day use then you want to choose "Primary" and there's a few settings where it asks you to make a choice between the two. •In the Cellular settings: "Cellular Data" select Primary. • "Default Voice Line" select Primary • "Cellular Plans / Cellular Plan Label" select Primary and Turn On This line. NOTE: It might take a while when you change a setting to detect your phone number. Make sure it's there before going to a next setting. Also, about your phone calls and messages to other iPhone users showing as Green. This is the indication for Android phones and means your iPhone settings are off. • In the "Messages" settings, select "iMessage" and right below that it has the option for "Send & Receive" - Your phone number would be showing there. (Below that it gives the details about iMessages.) • Check to see that MMS Messaging is selected. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Note: I am not a cellular technician.
