After using K-Seal and other brands that have the same affect I noticed that the engines run a lot hotter, this video shows how to stop that happening,
I have found this is the best way to use K-Seal, to avoid damage to your engine and causing a lot of costly repair

Very good advice on diluting the product before pouring in radiator and also not using too much! A common sense procedure, so easy to overlook and can cause huge problem.!

Excellent!!!! Had a small leak in my 85 brat heater core... Mixed 1/2 in a bottle, drained some coolant, and poured it in.. After mixing completely off course.... Great advice thank you....I would probably recommend this technique for any style of vehicle.

In 2018 I had a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser with a bad head gasket and a coolant leak and I poured an 8 oz bottle of K seal directly into the radiator while it was cool and followed the directions on the bottle. It fixed the problem and I still have that car for an additional 3 years before it just died altogether from other issues.

Probly just need another bottle - my '01 Dakota has a 4.7L v8, so big engine. When I put the first bottle in, it seemed to help, but recently, there is white smoke again. I've read where you need to put two bottle of K-Seal in for larger engines, which in my case, would make sense (again, I only put in one bottle of the 16oz K-Seal Ultimate).

Ive used K seal many times, i like it, even as a leak preventative. I wouldnt use it in your car ,its not a pressurized system, this product works with pressure to seal the leak. I dont think theres any prob with leaving excess K seal in the system for the next leak

Usually K-Seal works previously with smaller holes and minor thin cracks. If you ran car too long caused more damage then holes and cracks expand more. You probably want to replace the parts or get another vehicle. It’s mostly used for when you catch the small problem before it gets out of hand. Not after it’s too late. You’re definitely wasting money. But it’s been 6 months now so I assumed you have another vehicle. If I were you I’ll just pour in K-Seal with another vehicle just only once to safe guard seal gasket or hoses just in case

Hi, interesting process. I'm also thinking that doing it this way on a modern engine, as I believe (despite what the bottle says) that it will clog internally. Maybe even needing to flush the system through after the process to prevent material staying in the coolant after the material has sealed.

Kyle Cunnington yes water is a large part of coolant. but you could mix it with coolant if you wish. I only used water because once the leak had stopped I drained it. and didn't want to waste the cost of coolant.
@torkrench
@torkrench 2 года назад
Should be distilled, you can drain a bit of existing coolant from petcock into a botyle if you wish, but really in most cars that circulate water properly youre fine to pour in the overflow or filler neck after shaking well. Top up, cap it and let it warm up per instructions
@TheKingOfHalo
@TheKingOfHalo 6 лет назад
I don’t understand how the k seal directions are supposed to work. It says you shouldn’t add it to the radiator but instead add it to the expansion tank. If you do that, the k seal will eventually end up on the top of the radiator anyway. Just and update for everyone. I added it to the radiator and it’s fine. I just mixed it with a lot of coolant before adding it. I only used 1/3 of the k seal too. It sealed a head leak and I no longer lose coolant or have a misfire. I have also been draining the radiator fluid every weekend to remove any excess k seal.
@justharryjohnson7250
@justharryjohnson7250 6 лет назад
TheKing0fHalo it will always end up on the top of the radiator as this is the part with the most restrictions which is why you should only use a little and then drain it out after the leak has stopped

I'm not sure how it is only a few hundred over there to replace head gaskets...cause over here in the US, they are never less than $1000 to repair....and are usually closer to the $2000 mark depending on the make and model of your vehicle. I'm going to try it for my head gasket since it is in its infancy of being no good, and flush the system a week later and then replace the gasket anyways when I have the funds to do so. It may not be a permanent fix...although some people swear it is...but it can definitely be a temporary fix that will save you money and allow the use of your vehicle until you can afford to drop a grand or so on car repairs.

Be careful when you use this KSeal shit. I put this stuff in my van's cooling system and it hasn't run since February of 2020. Where do I begin? I began to have intermittent stalling problems. Everything that looked like either a fuel blockage or lack of spark etc. I even bought a new $93.00 MAP sensor and STILL the problem was there. So now my engine is essentially running poorly. However I maybe used too much by accident. The head gaskets are a main point of failure if your leaks are else where. The cooling jackets are rather wide BUT the head gasket has small slits that restrict the flow of coolant to prevent over cooling. KSeal CAN stick to your head gasket and slowly DAMAGE your head gasket!!!! So if you use KSeal my STRONG recommendation is use the absolute LEAST amount of it as possible and when your leaks are sealed CHANGE YOUR COOLANT!!! Or take it to a respectable mechanic within a month. Don't make the same mistake I did!!!
@BlackOps78321
@BlackOps78321 Год назад
True you should dilute it and check, and also it makes sense always be able to flush your radiator (not sure why it's never recommended officially). It makes sense if you do see improvements, you don't want to leave it in where it can then clog anything up again days or weeks after it's already improved/fixed. You are lucky if it just works and then I'd immediately flush it all out.
