I had to use KSeal today First time, it still leaked I think because I had my heater on and wasn't trying to fix the heater core so I called KSeal and the Rep advised me to use another one only this time put it in the Radiator instead of the Resevoir... I have been driving around and often after a few hours I would idle the vehicle and now I believe it's working . There are no leaks so far and the Radiator on the bottom corner is completely dry... I will still monitor it for the next week... but so far so good 👍
Worked for both on mine. Had a leak in the reservoir line going to radiator and a small in hole bottom of radiator and put half the bottle in the reservoir and half in the radiator and topped it off with fluid and worked like a charm. After you do it let it sit idling for about 15 minutes so it can circulate and then drive it for 15 minutes. Stuff is miracle In a bottle.
I’ve been there. I had a 1998 Nissan maxima, with 220,000 thousand miles on it.I bought the best, but you have to follow the directions EXACTLY how it states. You have to run it for miles. I never did that.Gave the car away to a friend.
I did everything the Kseal stated and it didn't work for me because my problem wasn't a conventional leak, my lower radiator hose was shot and needed to be replaced
No it will not work because the oil is already touching the water. So it’s too late. You was suppose to use this product before the oil was going into the water
If it's leaking from say the water pump like my 99 Saturn SL1 was doing. it was heating up in less than 6-8 min till the engine seized once on me b4 I got it pulled off the highway and cut off. I mean the weep hole on this water pump was literally gushing out almost faster than putting it in could keep up. Well I put only a gallon of water in the reservoir (radiator has no cap actually) and I poured the whole 8oz in and watched it sling that stuff off the belt 10ft over my head and just crushed my spirit cause it was looking like a failure quickly. Well 10 min goes by & I'm noticing the res is staying full longer and longer and the heat builds and the viscosity does it's clogging like how I had imagined in my head. Put the cap on with car at right b4 halfway on temp guage and next thing I know it's spraying all over again maybe possibly more this time. I got very very mad and threw a fit and left it in the jack with the tire off doors unlocked & everything I was so mad in that moment lol but crazy enough... Come out about 15 hours later the next day... Resiviour was holding strong almost over half way when I could never get it to hold any at that point in time. Started the car topped the water off and it maybe drips now at 13% the volume it was which makes it perfect for me. Just shitty enough to not be crushed when it screws you but also know it's a tank for the classic A to B commutes. So in my situation there was oil in that water on the ground but the water pump hold oil for lubricant and water for cooling & maintains separation when working properly. So check your dip stick THOROUGHLY AS POSSIBLE. Smell it feels it taste a drop I'm telling you don't push a maybe with a headgasket cause that's more than. Some car trouble
I still had the leak but it was minimized plus I found out two factors its coming from a faulty radiator cap and I also have a very soft lower radiator hose
Also I replaced both of my Upper and Lower Radiator hoses to find out it was the Lower Radiator Hose part that connects to the Engine! Did a full flush and added new coolant in id say check your hoses before dumping this into your system I did see lumps of the K-Seal in the old hoses!
